The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom brings back Shirnes from the previous game, which players can complete to slowly increase their hearts and stamina. Getting four Lights of Blessing can be a grind for only a single upgrade, and after you choose the upgrade you'd like, you may end up regretting your decision and wanting to change it.

While it does take a bit of story progression to unlock, players are given the ability to respec their upgrades at the cost of rupees, to change their upgrades to fit a different role. Unlocking this only takes a short side quest that can only be completed after players complete just one of the temples.

Finding The Cursed Statue

Respecing can be done one upgrade at a time by interacting with the Cursed Statue. The cursed statue can be found in the Emergency Bunker within Lookout Landing. Upon finishing one of the temples, she returned to the bunker to find the woman in white, who usually sweeps, standing next to a hole in the wall, talking about a voice she hears coming from within. Talking to her will begin the quest "Who Goes There" and will have Link crawling through the new hole to investigate the voice.

Upon entering, you'll find a stone on the ground that can be fused to one of your weapons. Fuse the stone or use an already fused weapon to destroy the rocks directly in front of your path. In the next clearing, destroy the rocks along the right side to find a statue that is talking to you; interact with the statue to progress the quest.

While talking to the statue, it will steal one of your hearts, and the conversation will end. Immediately talk to the statue again and demand your heart back, which it will. It will then offer its services to remove one of your heart or stamina upgrades, giving you the ability to repurchase the upgrade as either a heart or stamina boost. This system mostly pays for itself, not having much of a net cost for the player.

You'll first need to sell an upgrade for 100 rupees, then purchase either a heart or stamina upgrade for 120 rupees. Between selling the upgrade and buying another, this will only cost the player 20 rupees. This will allow players to change their upgrades at any time, which is helpful for those looking to get Master Sword early and learning about the required stamina cost. If you only have enough to sell an upgrade and not buy it back, the upgrade will be held until you can return to purchase it. This statue can now be visited anytime, allowing you to respec your upgrades whenever needed.
