Ever been on a ride with your prized horse in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, only to find yourself falling off a cliff and losing your horse? This can be an incredibly distressing moment for any of us, especially if it's the legendary Epona.
Luckily, there is a way you can get back your beloved horse. Unfortunately, though, it will take a bit of effort to bring them back, so you'll want to make sure that you are prepared for the trek ahead.
Load A Previous Save State
Before we get into the official way to revive your horse, there is one method you can try first that will take much less effort. If you are one to frequently manually save in the game, then you might be able to load a previous save state from before your horse met its doom.
All you will need to do is open up the menu and go under settings. You'll notice a button that says 'Load', which you can use to find a previous save state. If you can find a good save state that doesn't get rid of too much progress, where your horse is still alive, then this is a good method to bring your buddy back into the world.
Visit Malanya
The official way to revive your horse is by visiting the Horse God, Malanya. To find them, you'll need to make your way to the Akkala region in the northeast section of the Hyrule map. Malanya Spring will be directly north of Bloodleaf Lake.
Before you can speak with Malanya, you will need to bring her an Endura Carrot. You can find this item within East Necluda and Hyrule Ridge, or you can purchase it from traveling salespeople. You'll find it buried in the ground rather than growing on any trees or branches. Once you have successfully offered the item to Malanya, you'll be able to ask her to revive a lost horse. Remember that you'll only be able to revive horses that you have registered at a stable, which costs 20 Rupees.
Malanya will also be able to increase your horses' stats, including strength, speed, stamina, and pull. Each stat will require you to provide specific meals to Malanya to boost it. This is a great way to improve any favorite horses you have that might be lacking in specific areas.
