The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is not the first Legend of Zelda game to feature the franchise's iconic location known as The Lost Woods, and it will definitely not be the last. A lot of players may get confused as to how to enter this location, as they seemingly just end up back at the entrance.

Luckily, this is not some complex puzzle you will need to solve, it is merely a device that the game is using to have players explore a specific path to get to their destination.

Why Is It So Hard To Get Into The Lost Woods

Whenever Link tries to go into The Lost Woods, he will get lost. This is due to the very heavy fog present in the game. When this happens you will find yourself right back at the start.

Where to Gain Entry into The Lost Woods

As you enter The Lost Woods, you'll find that no matter which direction you head in, you're thrown straight back to the start. This is in stark contrast to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in which there was a specific path you could follow to navigate the mist.

Since the fog is preventing Link from getting in by normal means, Link will need to find a way of getting inside that will prevent the fog from being a factor. Open your map and look south of the Minishi Woods and you will see a chasm marked next to the right of the road. This is your ticket to gaining access.

Heading Through The Chasm

Jump down the long drop to the bottom of the Great Hyrule Forest Depths. You will make this underground trek from Minishi Grove to Korok Grove. This Grove is in the same place as the centre of the Lost Woods, just this time, it's underground.

You'll need to follow the raised path, heading Northwest, until you reach an area of dead trees surrounded by Gloom. Between Link and Korok Grove will be patches of pitch-black darkness.

You can use the fusion mechanics of the game to fuse a Bright Bloom Seed to your arrow and use them as a means of making patches of light in this darkness. There are many other good tips to know when wandering through the depths.

From here, you'll want to use the trees to navigate through the Gloom-ridden area, you'll need to know how to cure yourself if you do lose some health from it.

Climb to the very top of one of the trees nearest to the edge of the path and hop from tree to tree, gliding from the last one to the other side of the land. Keep heading for Korok Grove. You will come to a large stone structure once you get there. Stand in the middle of this structure and Ascend. This will place you in Korok Forest.

You'll notice that the stone structure is located right by the Rikonasum Lightroot which you can use as a guide point. It will be visible in the distance from the moment you drop down the chasm.
