Up in the snowiest region of Hyrule, the Tabantha Frontier, you'll find the village of the Rito. Tears Of The Kingdom is full of possibilities, but sometimes even the direct path is confusing, and many players have spent hours without the slightest idea of how to enter Rito Village.

You have a long path ahead of you, even if you have a horse. But once you get your sense of navigation settled, you only have to worry about the sheer cold and making sure to carry an item you may have assumed was useless.

Scaling Cliff Walls

If you follow the waypoint given to you for the main story quest of solving the disasters, you'll likely end up on the opposite side of a giant chasm. It's up to you if you just want to make a leap for it and use your customizable paraglider to reach the other side and climb your way up. It's a lot more doable than that sounds, as massive structures are sticking out of the wall you can stand on to regain your stamina.

Climbing experts will even know by this point there's a surprising amount of times you can let go and Link will be able to grip to the side with his feet. That said, this is still the hard path, and there is a much easier solution.

Tabantha Bridge Stable

Tears Of The Kingdom Tabantha Bridge Stable Map Location

Take out your Purah Pad map and look for the coordinates -2925, 0569, 0169. This will bring you to a Stable at Tabantha Bridge. Do what you need for your first stop; board or register and horse and grab your Pony Point. The Stable will remain useful for the rest of the game, but for the current objective, you're really here for the bridge.

Tears Of The Kingdom Link Crossing Tabantha Great Bridge

The Tabantha Great Bridge is a long wooden bridge that will bring you safely to the Tabantha Frontier region of Hyrule. You're now already halfway there.

Tears Of The Kingdom Freezing Link Selecting Sauteed Spicy Peppers

Now that you're in Tabantha, this is your warning that the region is freezing due to the cataclysm, so shield yourself from the cold. Since you haven't been to Rito Village yet, you're unlikely to have the correct weatherproof outfit (unless you found the Archaic Warm Greaves), so you'll need to rely on meals. Spicy Sauteed Peppers is a great early game recipe to follow, as all you need are a cooking pot and any number of Spicy Peppers.

Lucky Clover Gazette

Tears Of The Kingdom Lucky Clover Gazette Map Location

Now that you're over the bridge and your belly's full of spicy peppers, your next destination is the Lucky Clover Gazette at coordinates -3290, 1804, 0121. The road will bring you right to it, but setting a pin will only help you further. This building is full of members of the press, who are currently freezing while lamenting that the bridge to Rito Village is out. It's only broken on the first section, so if you were able to fly over, you could then just walk the rest of the way. Listen in on an NPC, and you'll discover this method of flight.

Tears Of The Kingdom Juanelle Telling Link About Hylian Pine Cones

This is Juanelle. She's bundled up in a coat and next to a bonfire. She'll be the one to tell you the bridge is out, and she'll then go on to say that it's so cold she thinks it might be time to feed the fire a Hylian Pine Cone. If you've tried cooking with one of these Pine Cones, you ended up with inedible food and possibly assumed they were fodder for Rupees or something to fuse with your shield. Turns out, Hylian Pine Cones are at their most useful when thrown into a fire.

Tears Of The Kingdom Selecting A Hylian Pine Cone To Throw Into Bonfire

Grab a Pine Cone from your inventory, or by holding up to select your throwables. Aim it at the bonfire, and you'll make an updraft.

Tears Of The Kingdom Paragliding On Updraft Near Lucky Clover Gazette

Now, jump over the bonfire and then hit jump again to open your paraglider. The updraft will send you hurtling far into the air, more than high enough to glide to the other side of the busted bridge. As already stated, the rest of the bridge is still intact, so you can walk the rest of the way until you finally arrive in Rito Village.

How To Fast Travel To Rito Village

Tears Of The Kingdom Link In Front Of Gatakis Shrine

Considering even the easy path has a lot of steps, you likely never want to go through all of that ever again. Luckily for you, only a short distance into Rito Village you'll find the Gatakis Shrine. Make sure you walk up to this Shrine and interact with it. You don't have to complete the Shrine to use it for fast travel, but you do need to open it. Now that you can come and go whenever you please, you can see exactly what Tulis and the rest of the Rito need your help with.
