The Blood Moon is a mechanic that will occur several times through your play, though, and although its name may sound like a bad thing, it is actually a very beneficial mechanic for you to make use of. What Is The Blood Moon?

According to Zelda, Ganon is able to reach his peak power during these Blood Boons. He uses this power to resurrect all fallen enemies across the game, except bosses. Each time a Blood Moon occurs, it will initiate a cutscene that shows the sky turning red.

You will see all manner of enemies during this cutscene. These are all the servants of Ganon that had previously been slain and are being resurrected. All the enemies that you have slain will be resurrected during this time, and be ready to fight you yet again.

Why Is The Blood Moon a Good Thing?

The Blood Moon is great because it means the enemies you had slain can now be slain again and trigger another drop. This means you can attempt to farm specific items from enemies that you had previously slain.

Make note of what you may need for anything you wish to craft or recipes you wish to cook, and then note down the locations where you can find enemies to get them. Each time the Blood Moon occurs, you can head to these spots to stay stocked up on these resources.

This mechanic will trigger every 7 days of the in-game time that has passed. This can be time that has progressed naturally by just playing the game as normal, or by forcing the passage of time using the campfire.
