While the regions of the four Sages were facing a number of problems and Link had to solve them in The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Fifth Sage requires players to do something totally different as part of the Guidance from Ages Past quest.
The Guidance from Ages Past quest can be unlocked after players have completed the Regional Phenomena questline, and headed back to the Lookout Landing. This quest is one of the two branching quests of the Find the Fifth Sage questline, After heading into the regions of Gerudo Town, Zora's Domain, and Goron City, players will need to head to the Dragonhead Island to continue finding the Fifth Sage. After players have completed Guidance from the Ages past, they need to pick up the relic from the pedestal.
Starting The Quest
The relic emits a light, and players need to follow that to head outside. You should find a glider lying right outside the area, and you can attach fans to it jump off the cliff and continue following the light. It will take the players to a monolith near a statue. Take out the relic from the glider and place it near the monolith to trigger a cutscene and open the path to Tobio's Hollow Chasm. Head inside and place the relic on the platform to start the elevator mechanism and go down.
Once you reach down, activate the Muokuij Lightroot and continue following the light beam path. Place the relic at the point where the light beam ends, to trigger a cutscene with Mineru, Sage of Spirit. Once the cutscene ends, you need to build a body for Mineru. Mineru's four body parts, right leg, left leg, left arm, and right arm can be found in the northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest areas of the map.
Mineru's Right Leg
You can start off by going to the northeast storehouse first, lighting the path on the way with Brightbloom seeds. Continue forwards towards the green light at a distance, until you come across a fossil. Take a sharp left to find the Uisihcoj Lightroot, which you can ascend to. Keep going towards the green lights to reach the Right-Leg depot.
Interact with the orb in the center to make the right leg drop in front of you, and then carry it towards your right using the terminal. Now, you need to place the right leg horizontally on the ground and place the fan behind it. Pick up the U-shaped structure and place it on the right leg horizontally to create a hook for the right leg. Place it on the nearby track to make it propel forwards, and you can simply hop onto it to reach the next platform. Grab the right leg again and continue forwards to reach another elevator.
Once you reach the top, you will notice that there is another elevator on your right, right on top of which you will find Zonaite and a glider. Attach a steering to the glider and push it downwards. Grab the right leg and attach it to the Glider to head down. Carry the right leg towards the structure where you heard Mineru, and open it using Ultrahand. Place it on the structure to trigger a small cutscene.
Mineru's Left Leg
This time, you need to head southeast, once again towards the green lights you see at a distance. Just keep walking straight, until you reach the Left Leg Depot and once again can interact with the orb to make the Left Leg drop. Place it on the elevator on the left to reach the top platform. Use the nearby wheel to lower the ramp. Place a rocket on the left leg and then place it on the ramp to propel it to the next platform. Go beneath the platform from your left and use Ascend to reach the top. Once again, place the left leg on the nearby groove and attach a rocket to it. Hop onto it and then head straight back to the structure to attach the left leg as well.
Mineru's Left Arm
Now, you need to head southwest. Continue following the lights and use the tree to get into the Left-Arm Depot. Interact with the orb to get the right arm and then open the door on the left by hitting the wheel. Take the left arm through the door and then grab the wheels on the opposite side of the door. Grab the steering wheel on the right, and then put it on the right arm box along with the wheels to create a vehicle. Use it to traverse across the lava. For the second section, place the right arm box vertically in the middle of the lava groove and then head back to Ascend to a higher platform. Glide to the next platform, and then pull back the right arm box towards yourself.
To get past the door, use your Ultrahand ability in conjunction with Recall to place the box underneath the door, and then eventually take it across into the next room. Grab a fan near the big fan nearby, place a steering wheel on the box, and ride it to head back to the central area. Break the box and place the right arm in the structure.
Mineru's Right Arm
For the right arm, players need to head northwest. You will again find the green lights guiding you. Make your way past the small bridge and continue forwards until you reach a dead end. Use Ascend to land right outside the Right Arm depot and then interact with the orb to get the right arm. Grab the arm and take it towards your right, by placing it sideways. This will automatically take it forward with the help of the wheel mechanism on the floor.
You will find another groove with a wheel mechanism, but that doesn't work. Instead, place the wheels on the box and then on the electrified platform on your left. This will take the wheel forward, and you can follow it by gliding towards the next platform. Take the box outside, and add a couple of more wheels and a steering wheel to it to convert it into a cart. Ride it across back to the central area, and break it to get the right arm. Attach the right arm to the structure to complete Mineru's body.
Recovering The Secret Stone
You can now ride Mineru's Construct. Hop right into it and head to the nearby platform to grab some weapons for the Construct. You can now safely traverse across the Depths, and Mineru will suggest you stop at armories on the way. You can use the Armory right across to attach a fan to improve its mobility. Keep heading towards the objective, and grab the Sijotu Lightroot which is southeast of Muokuij Lightroot. Once you are near the Spirit Temple, you will notice that the path to it is broken.
Attach a rocket to the Construct from the nearby armory and then use it to propel yourself toward the Spirit Temple. You can refer to our guide here on completing the Spirit Temple. Once that's done, you can pick up the Secret Stone to complete the Guidance From Ages Past quest and then head back to Lookout Landing to complete the Find the Fifth Sage quest.
