The Geoglyphs show different memories from Princess Zelda as she works hard to return to Link. Minor spoiler warning for anyone not wanting to know about them.The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is full of collectibles. There are countless armor sets, weapons, shields, Zonai Devices, etc., that you can collect while you are journeying through Hyrule on your quest to save the Kingdom.

One of the better collectibles is the Geoglyph collectibles that dot the landscape of Hyrule. These shining symbols on the ground each contain a Dragon's Tear. The Dragon's Tear will allow Link to see into the past, getting a better understanding of the game and the events that have transpired.

Updated by Erin Rice on June 13, 2023: The longer Tears of the Kingdom is out, the more players begin to learn about the little secrets and details hidden in the game. This updated included the map from the Forgotten Temple that has all Geoglyph locations on it. It also added some relevant links for readers.

How To Unlock Geoglyphs

In order to unlock the Geoglyph Collectibles, you must first complete the quest Impa and the Geoglyphs. This quest will have you working with Impa to discover the Geoglyphs, their meanings, and how they came to be. She will ask you to fix her balloon, so she can investigate the first one with you. Once you investigate it, she will send you on a search for the other 11 Geoglyphs scattered around Hyrule. It does not matter what order you unlock them in.

If you travel with Impa to the Forgotten Temple, you will find a map at the end of the temple. This map shows every single Geoglyph location. This is the perfect reference for anyone wanting to see a whole map at once rather than individual pictures.

Where Am I? - Tear Of The Dragon #1

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Dragon Tear  1 Rauru

The first Geoglyph will be the one that you find with Impa. It is right beside the New Serenne Stable. The Geoglyph is in the shape of King Rauru. You can find the Tear of the Dragon within Rauru's left eye. The Tear of the Dragon will show Zelda arriving in the past and trying to make sense of where she is.

The next Geoglyph is located close to the hillside of Tabantha Hills. This Geoglyph is shaped like a temple. You can find the Tear of the Dragon in the center of the temple's roof. This shows Zelda realizing that the world she is in now is not her own.

The third Geoglyph is located near the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower on the hillside. The shape is that of a Purah Pad with the Tear of the Dragon on the top of the symbol on the Purah Pad. This shows Zelda seeking counsel from the Sage of Spirit.

The fourth Geoglyph is found between Riverside Stable and the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. It takes on the shape of a Molduga. The Tear of the Dragon can be found on the Molduga's body, close to its tail. This will show Ganon leading an assault using Moldugas.

This Geoglyph is found between the Gerudo Canyon Stable and the chasm near Birida Lookout. The shape of this one is Ganon bowing down. The Tear of the Dragon is located on Ganon's shoulder, close to his neck. This will show Ganon swearing allegiance to King Rauru and Hyrule.

The sixth Geoglyph is found on Illumeni Plateau on Hyrule Ridge. This one is in the shape of Queen Sonia. The Tear of the Dragon is located at the bottom of the middle section of Sonia's hair. This one shows Sonia and Zelda talking.

The seventh Geoglyph is found in Lurelin Village. It takes the shape of a dagger. The Tear of the Dragon is on the dagger's right side hilt. The Geoglyph will show the heartbreaking moment when Ganon betrays the Hyrulian rulers.

Birth Of The Demon King - Tear Of The Dragon #8

This Geoglyph is found in North Tabantha Snowfield. It is close to the Oshozan-u Shrine. This Geoglyph takes on the shape of what appears to be a headdress. The Tear of the Dragon can be found on the left side, almost parallel to the Shrine. This will show the moment when Ganon becomes the Demon King.

The ninth Geoglyph is found on Talus Plateau, near the Laynaru Sea. It is in the shape of the Secret Stones that the Sages own. The Tear of the Dragon is found on the bottom right side of the stone. This shows when King Rauru gives the Sages their Secret Stones.

This Geoglyph is found on the side of Mount Falorra, on the banks of Lake Hylia. This shape seems to be in the shape of a gravestone with flowers. The Tear of the Dragon can be found on the tip of the flowers on the left side. It will show Rauru telling Zelda they must do all they can to stop the Demon King.

A Master Sword In Time - Tear Of The Dragon #11

This final Geoglyph is found to the east of the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower. It is in the shape of the Master Sword with the Tear of the Dragon sitting right on the tip. This shows the moment when Zelda obtains the decayed Master Sword from the present day.

After you find the final Geoglyph, you will watch as the Light Dragon flies through the sky and drops one last Tear of the Dragon for Link to go find. This can be found in the Rist Peninsula. It does not have a Geoglyph attached to it. It is the final memory of Princess Zelda.
