Unlike the other areas, which are a part of the Regional Phenomena questline, where players will be battling tons of enemies or solving puzzles, the first quest in Zora's domain poses the players with quite a unique problem. The region is suffering quite a weird phenomenon where sludge is falling from the sky, and it is up to Link to fix the situation.

Start The Sludge-Covered Statue Quest

In order to start the Sludge-Covered Statue, players first need to make their way to Zora's domain. To reach Zora's Domain, players need to head to the Lanaryu Tower and then make their way to Zora's Domain via the Inogo Bridge. While the path is pretty straightforward, it is filled with numerous perils along the way, which can make it significantly difficult to traverse.

You'll face a number of formidable foes, such as Oktoroks and Lizalfos, on the way, which can be quite tricky to tackle unless you have arrows stacked up. Before you arrive in Zora's domain, you will notice that there are tons of Splash Fruit available on the path. Make sure you collect some before you reach Zora's domain, as they will come in quite handy.

Complete The Quest

Once you are in Zora's domain, speak with Yona, who will be standing right in front of the statue to kickstart the quest. The Splash Fruit you collected along the way is going to be useful now, as it is required to remove the sludge in the area. There are two ways you can get rid of the sludge from the statue. You can throw a Splash Fruit at the statue directly or attach it to an arrow and shoot it at the statue. Once you do that, the sludge from the statue will be removed, and you can head back to Yona.

Once you have removed the sludge, you need to head back to the Zora you met before, Yona, and interact with her. She will ask Link to meet here again, and this completes the Sludge-Covered Statue quest. You can now proceed with the Sidon of the Zora questline in the game.
