The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is full of quests. Side Adventures will make up a hefty sum of these quests, and rewards will vary drastically, as will the side adventures' difficulties. Luckily, this is one of the quests without a hard boss to defeat at the end.

This Side Adventure is rather lengthy, as is the game as a whole, and it will require you to do a lot of traveling across the map. You will also need to be familiar with fusing, and it pays to practice piloting a Wing.

Beginning The Side Adventure

The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom A Call From The Depths Map

Make your way to the location marked on the map. You can find this location to the South of the Gatepost Town Ruins. You will find these ruins to the south of Lake Kolomo in Central Hyrule. Use a bomb flower-fused arrow to take out the cracked rocks in the archway. This will begin the cutscene showing the drainage of water from the Great Plateau.

A festive iconic little jingle will play in response. Head forward, and you will be stopped with some dialog prompts. Continue onwards and make your way to the Temple of Time Ruins. Head on over to the statue that is being bathed in sunlight. Interact with this statue to begin various prompts of dialog. During these prompts, you will be given a new side adventure.

This side adventure is called “A Call From The Depths.” Four Points will be marked on your map. You will need to go to each of these points and, from each of them, retrieve an eye.

The Northern Eye

The eye to the north of the map will be sitting inside a body of water, grab the eye using the ultrahand and move it into the large nearby chasm. Descend into it, and you'll wind up in the Great Plateau North Chasm. Pick up the eye again with the Ultrahand and make your way to the Great Abandoned Central Mine.

You will see a large building-like structure. Move with the eye to the other side of this structure. Go one level down, and you will see a hole in the side of the structure. Take the eye down here and cross the bridge. You will come to a door where you can place the eye inside.

Rotate the eye until it is looking at you. Move it up and into one of the available slots. The eye will turn to match the wall, and more dialog will play. Remember this spot, as you will need to return to this door with each of the remaining eyes.

The Eastern Eye

You will see another pile of cracked rocks; use another bomb flower-fused arrow to blow it up. Grab the eye from destroying it and head straight to find a chasm that will take you back into the depths. You will find a minecart and a rail in this room. Put the minecart onto the rails and the eye on the minecart.

There will also be several Zonai devices on shelves. Take one of the fans and place it on the back of the minecart facing outwards. You won’t need any more power than this. Turn on the fan and ride the rails to the stop, and you will be back near the entrance to the door with the eyeholes. Grab the eye, go back through this entrance, and place the second eye in the door.

This eye is in the Great Plateau South Chasm; use recall to move the fallen debris of the eye. Grab the eye and take it into the adjacent chasm. Grab the eye and head up all the flights of stairs to find more shelves and a Wing. Place the wing into position near the end of the cliff.

Place a fan on the back and a steering stick in the middle. Place a battery on either wing, grab the steering stick, and get ready for takeoff. Turn slightly to the right, and you will head straight toward the structure from earlier. Grab the eye and go place it into the door inside.

The Western Eye

Head on over to the quest marker representing the westmost eye. You may not see it at first, but that is okay; it is encased in a block of ice. Hitting this block repetitively with fire will reduce its size until the eye is revealed. Grab the west eye, and take it down into the depths using the chasm next to where the block of ice you got it from was located.

Once down here, pick up the eye and place it on the nearby elevator. Take the elevator up to the top. Grab the eye and go up the stairs, where you will see several minecarts and some rails. Put one of the minecarts on the leftmost rails and the eye in the minecart. This will send you on a fun little rollercoaster trip where you can take in the sites of the surrounding area.

This trip will end when the minecart hits the stop point. Jump out and grab the eye and head up the nearby stairs. You will see another minecart on another set of rails, along with lots of Zonai parts available to connect to it. Put the eye on the minecrart along with the following parts. Two rockets, one on each side. A Fan on the back of the minecart, facing outwards, and finally, a Battery to give it some kick.

Hop in and activate your souped-up cart. Once it comes to a stop, pick up the eye and take the elevator next to the stop. You will now be in the room with the door. Make your way over to it, rotate the final eye, and place it in the door to complete the quest.

You will have the option of being rewarded with either a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel. Stamina Vessels can give you the extra edge you need to just make it to the top of a cliff, or to a ledge you need to glide to. On the other hand, having an extra Heart Container can help you get that one final hit in to finish a boss before said boss finishes you.
