Quick Links
The Ring Garland is a purchasable item in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is an item that you will only be able to buy from a specific NPC at a specific place in the game — Kakariko Village.
If you by chance do not have a single Rupee on you, you will need to go earn at least 5 of them, as that is the cost to buy one Ring Garland. The Ring Garland is part of a quest related to Gerudo Town, so you'll want to have visited that location to get the full use out of the item.
Updated by Chad Thesen 10 June 2023: Players are still searching for additional uses of the Ring Garland, but are not having much luck. As it stands, this is still the only known use for it, but there may be more, and we just have not figured it out yet.
Getting The Ring Garland
To get a Ring Garland, you will need to head on over to Koko in Kakariko Village and buy one. Koko will sell you one for 5 Rupees. The screen will go dark and when the screen lights up again, the Ring Garland will now be displayed between Koko and Link. You can pick it up.
Make Travel Easier: Fuse It!
To make moving around significantly easier, it is recommended that you make use of the game’s fusion system to fuse the Ring Garland to your Shield. After doing so, open your map and fast-travel to Soryotanog Shrine in the Gerudo Desert.
It is worth noting that the location you need to take the Ring Garland to must be reached during the evening. So, if it is not the correct time of day, progress the time first.
Taking The Ring Garland To Class
Jump straight forward and down to the village. Turn around, and you will see a hole in the stairs. This will take you to the Gerudo Shelter. As you enter this shelter, keep to the left and take the first turn you come across. You will see a red carpet that will lead you into a classroom. Speak to Ashai and agree to help with the class. Once it is Daltan’s turn, progress the dialog, and she will show interest in the Ring Garland.
She will say how it is the first time she has ever seen one. Continuing the dialog will restore her faith in both luck and love. Her final piece of dialog has her expressing her thanks to Link.
Is There No Actual Reward?
As of right now, nobody knows if there are other aspects of the Ring Garland other than this. As it stands, some alternate dialog is the purpose of the Ring Garland other than being purely aesthetic.
