In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, The Blocked Well Quest is part of the chain quest: Potential Princess Sightings! This quest is given to Link by Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette near the Rito Village. Traysi is looking for clues to finding Princess Zelda by listening to gossip in Stables across Hyrule.

The Blocked Well takes place at the Gerudo Canyon Stable at the edge of the Gerudo Desert. Players will need to brave the harsh desert to get to this quest, so bring some breezy clothes to make the journey easier.

Head over to the Gerudo Canyon Stable using the Skyview Tower nearby. You'll see Penn standing behind the Stable near a blocked-off well. Talk to him to begin the quest.

Penn will tell Link about the blocked well and about how it was Princess Zelda herself that ordered the well closed and blocked, making life hard for the inhabitants of the area. With no water supply in the desert, the Stable was as good as abandoned. The well was also the source for farming mushrooms, whose supply had also run dry with the lack of water.

Penn will inform Link that he can't travel down the well because his wings will get in the way, so it's up to Link to do the heavy lifting. Once you're ready, jump down the well, diving into the pool of water at the bottom. There is a wall of breakable rocks just ahead; break it to reveal a group of Lizalfos within. You will have to defeat the monsters here to progress the quest further.

This is a hard fight because not only is there a Black Lizalfos in the mix, but there is also an Electric Lizalfos hiding near the top of the cavern. Your best bet is to lure all the Aggro-ed Lizalfos towards you until they're grouped together and then fight them with a large, swinging weapon like a fused-together claymore with a high fuse power attachment.

Preserve your Bomb Flowers for the Electric Lizalfos at the end because this one releases a field of electricity around himself that makes Link drop all his equipped weapons and annoy the enemy to face head-on.

Once you've dispatched the initial group of enemies, sneak towards the back of the cavern to find a Like Like. Defeat it from range, then sneak upwards using the slope at his side.

Here, you'll see the Electric Lizalfos turned into stone. Take aim at this enemy from range again and fuse a Bomb Flower to your arrow to deal some insane damage. You can either spam this method or face him directly if you have enough hearts to take a hit.

Either way, once the Electric Lizalfos is defeated, you'll be called back up by Penn, where Link will explain to him what's going on. Penn will hand over the reward for this mission, and the quest: The Blocked Well will be marked complete.
