Fetch quests have always been part of the true open-world experience, and Tears of the Kingdom is here to satisfy. Fortunately, in this new iteration of Hyrule, even the blandest of quests are without some flavor.
White Goats Gone Missing Quest requires players to locate and retrieve some runaway goats. Link needs to be quick to find these sickly goats before they land themselves in even more trouble.
Start The White Goats Gone Missing Quest
This quest can only be started once Link has talked to Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette. This will start the Potential Princess Sightings! quest. Traysi will assign Penn as Link's helper and send them both to discover clues about Princess Zelda's disappearance in stables across Hyrule.
For White Goats Gone Missing, you will need to head over to the Tabantha Bridge Stable. Teleport to the Makurukis Shrine neighboring the stable or use the Lindor's Brow Skyview Tower. The Stable is located right at the entrance of the Tanagar Canyon. Once you reach it, head towards the goat pen in the back. There, talk to Penn to begin the quest (Check the image above).
Complete The White Goats Gone Missing Quest
Penn will tell Link that the Stable has been raising a herd of white goats. The goats have gone missing from the Stable, presumably having run away. Talk to Chork, the person responsible for caring for the goats, to learn more. Chork will tell you that he has been feeding the goats using Princess Zelda's special recipe that calls for whole pine cones instead of grounded ones. Strangely, every goat that has eaten food from this recipe has spat up their food and run away.
Now, it's going to be Link's job to find these runaways and report back. Exit the pen, and you'll notice a Hylian Pine Cone lying on the ground. Pick it up and look eastward. You'll notice another pine cone in the distance.
To find the goats, follow the trail of pine cones that leads away from the Stable. The goats appear to have been spitting up pine cones while running away. The trail will follow the road for a bit, then turn inwards toward the forested area nearby. Keep on course, and soon you'll find the group of missing white goats hiding behind a tall mushroom tree.
There will be a glass bottle where the goats are standing. Interact with the bottle; a small cutscene will play, showing Chork's arrival. Chork will open the glass bottle to reveal Princess Zelda's recipe, only to discover that the recipe calls for ground-down cones instead of whole ones. The reason the goats ran away was because they couldn't digest the food properly.
Penn will arrive soon afterward and congratulate you on another case solved successfully. He will hand over your reward and soar away. With this, the quest: White Goats Gone Missing will be marked complete.
