The Thyphlo Ruins side adventure requires Link to assist Kazul with the investigation of four monoliths to discover the chronicles of the Imprisoning War. Completing each objective requires the players to examine four monoliths to find out the secrets the ruins are hiding. It's a fun side adventure, with a decent reward, and an interesting story that unfolds the history of Hyrule.

Investigate The Thyphlo Ruins

The location of the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower locations.

Investigate The Thyphlo Ruins Quest is an easy find. It's located near the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview tower at the 0371, 3096, 0174 coordinates, which you will have unlocked if you have completed the main storyline.

However, the riddles in the monoliths will only appear after the players have completed the Wind Temple, Fire Temple, Water Temple and Lightning Temple quests. After you have reached the location, talk with Kazul standing near the monoliths, who will ask for assistance with his monolith research. To start the quest, select ‘Let Me Help!’ in the conversation, and he will recruit you for his investigation process.

Kazul will then take you to the four monoliths, each with a riddle written on them. Examine each monolith to start the four side adventures.

The Owl Protected By Dragons

The first monolith reads, “Display the power of the Sage of Wind to the owl protected by many dragons.”

This one is pretty simple to complete. Just jump over the rock just behind the monolith, and you will find a giant owl statue with many dragon heads around it near the 0365, 3055, 0175 coordinates. Stand before the statue, use the Vow Of Tulin to summon the Sage Of Wind, and then use its Gust ability. This will unlock a chamber below the ground and a chest. Open the chest, and you will get 3 Sapphire.

The Corridor Between Two Dragons

The second monolith that reads, “Display the power of the Sage of Fire to blaze through the space between two dragons, from head to tail.” starts The Corridor Between Two Dragons' side adventure.

Move towards the western side of the Skyview tower until you reach the coordinates 0221,320,0174. There you will find two dragons placed almost parallel to each other. Use the Vow of Yunobo to summon the Sage of Fire and use its Rolling Fireball ability between the two dragons. This will open a chamber with a chest, go inside the chamber, and open the chest to get 3 Ruby.

The Six Dragons

The third monolith has the riddle, “Display the power of the Sage of Water in the presence of the six dragons.” written on it.

The location of this side adventure is towards the northwest from the Skyview tower near the coordinates 0186, 3178, 0174. Once you reach there, you will find six dragon heads placed in U-shape in a swamp. Stand between the dragon heads, and use Vow of Sidon to summon the Sage of Water. Use the Water Bubble ability. This will open up a chamber near the swamp. Head inside the chamber, and open the chest to get 5 Opal.

The Long Dragon

The fourth slab reads, “Display the power of the Sage of Lightning at the end of the long dragon that protects the mountain of death.” and will start The Long Dragon side adventure.

To complete this, head southeast from the Skyview Tower towards the edge of the ruins. You will come across a dragon head facing directly towards the death mountain. Proceed towards the end of the dragon’s body near the 0450, 3084, 0175 coordinates. Then use the Vow of Riju to summon the Sage of Lightning, and use its Lightning Strike ability to open the fourth chamber. Open the chest inside the chamber, and you will get 3 Topaz.
