Lurelin Village has become the unfortunate target of a horde of monsters that have driven the residents out of the village completely. Luckily, Link can defeat these ravenous beasts and free the village from their influence, but there is more work to be done before the village is back on its feet.

How To Start The Quest

Before you can start on the restoration project, you will have to first finish the “Ruffian-Infested Village” quest and rid the village of all the pirate monsters that razed it to the ground.

Then, you can talk to Bolson, the town architect, to start the “Lurelin Village Restoration Project” quest in order to restore the village to its former glory.

Finding Logs & Hylian Rice

To get the restoration of the town underway, Bolson will ask you for two things: Logs and Hylian Rice.

Collect Logs (15)

You’ll need 15 pieces of lumber to complete this part of the request. Bolson also makes a special request not to use the palm trees inside the village as a source. The nearest source for logs is near the Sifumim Shrine neighboring the village.

  1. Teleport to the Sifumim Shrine.
  2. Bring a bladed weapon (sword/claymore) and cut down the trees.
  3. Use Ultrahand to fuse the logs together so you can carry them down to the village in one go.
  4. Take the logs to Bolson at the quest marker and drop the logs near him. Interact with him with all the logs in his vicinity, and he will store the logs.
  5. Teleport back to the shrine to find the trees you just chopped down have respawned. In a couple of trips, you should have enough logs for Bolson to be satisfied.

You don’t have to bring all 15 logs at once. Bolson will add any logs you bring to the tally and keep score, allowing you to make multiple trips.

Collect Hylian Rice (20)

If you don’t have it already, Hylian Rice can be easily bought from Beedle at the Riverside Stable.

  1. Teleport over to the Tajikats Shrine and head inside the Stable. Talk to Beedle, and he should have a stock of 5 Hylian Rice. Buy all of Beedle's Hylian Rice and teleport to the Tajikats Shrine again.
  2. Return to Beedle, and you’ll see he has restocked 5 more Hylian Rice.
  3. Repeat this process until you have 20 Hylian Rice, then head back to the Lurelin Village to talk to Bolson and complete this part of the quest.

Repairing Lurelin Village

Now that Bolson has enough Logs and Hylian Rice to fix up the foundation of the village, we can now get started on fixing the individual buildings. There are 5 buildings in total, and here’s how to fix them.

  • Inn: Jump inside, landing on the wooden plank floating on the water. Fish out the two logs at the bottom of the water and use Ultrahand to fuse every piece of debris together. Climb to the edge of the building and use Ultrahand again to take out everything.
  • Restaurant: Move the wooden crates blocking the way. Cut down a straight palm tree and use Ultrahand to fit it through the hole in the ceiling.
  • Lucky Treasure Shop: Cut down a straight palm tree and use Ultrahand to put the log through the hole at the top and into the large pot.
  • Village Head’s House: Remove the wooden crate from the top of the hole. Thread a straight palm-tree log through the hole in the roof and drop it in the central hole.
  • Armes’ House: Cut down another straight palm tree and move the log through the hole in the top and into the hole in the floor.

Rewards For Completing Each Building

  • Inn: A one-time reward of 50 rupees and the unlocking of the salt spa.
  • Restaurant: A one-time reward of 50 rupees and unlocking a food shop.
  • Lucky Treasure Shop: A one-time reward of 50 rupees and unlocking the Lucky Treasure mini-game.
  • Village Head’s House: A one-time reward of 50 rupees and the opportunity to see a picture from Princess Zelda.
  • Armes’s House: A one-time reward of 50 rupees and a renewable source of rusted weapons near the beach.

A small cutscene will play with all the townsfolk, and Rozel will announce that the entire Lurelin Village will reward Link for his services. This unlocks the following new rewards:

  • Inn: Free bed for life.
  • Restaurant: Free food for life.
  • Lucky Treasure Shop: One free try at new treasure every day.
