The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has plenty of quests for you to enjoy throughout your experience playing it. You will have some quests that involve making perilous treks, some quests dedicated to felling mighty foes and of course the main quest line of completing various dungeons.
A lot of these quests will involve just being helpful to the various people of the land and increasing your renown as a hero of the land.
Starting The Quest
For this quest, you will start by heading over to Hateno Village. Look at the image above to see the marked location in front of a house on the map. Go through the door of this house and speak with the NPC named Reede. He will give you the side adventure, A New Signature Food. After receiving the quest, open your map and look up to see Zelkoa Pond. To the right of this pond will be Lake Sumac. Head over to the southwest end of Lake Sumac. Here you will find an NPC standing at the docks. They will need you to retrieve a message in a bottle in the middle of the lake. There are several ways you can go about retrieving this bottle.
Getting The Bottle Out Of The Lake
You can use your Ultrahand with a long object, such as one of the nearby trees and fuse it to the bottle. Then use your Ultrahand to retrieve the tree it fused to, pulling the bottle back with it. Another approach would be to freeze the water and run closer to the bottle using the ice platforms, then use your Ultrahand to pick it up directly. Whichever you choose, once you have the bottle, you must bring it back to the NPC and then talk with them again. This will reward you with some Hateno Cheese.
Completing The Quest
Bring this cheese back to the NPC that gave you the “A New Signature Food” side quest. They will reward you with a Silver Rupee. This Rupee is worth 100 regular Rupees. Once the dialog concludes, so will the quest.
