Some of these quests will have you solving the game's main dungeons, and some will end with you facing mighty bosses. Other times, these quests can be much less combat focused. Be sure to have a lot of bombs on hand for this one.

Where To Begin The Quest

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Desert Treasure Town

To start this quest, you will need to head to the South West of the Desert Rift where you will come to Gerudo Town. Here you can speak to the NPC named Riju. You will need to have already completed the Lightning Temple before you will be able to receive this quest. In the dialog, she will give you, a riddle. The riddle is as follows: “The Swordswoman upon the sands… Treasure Underground… It could be worth looking into…”

After this dialog, the Treasure of the Gerudo Desert side quest will be added to your quest log.

Turn Around and head out the front entrance of Gerudo Town. As you leave, turn and run to the left. There will be a large stretch of sand, but stay close to the wall. As you reach the end of the wall, some pillars will come into view in the distance. Run all the way over to these pillars. When you reach these pillars, you will notice a statue in the middle. Look in the direction its sword is pointing — that is the direction you need to head. This statue’s sword acts as a form of compass.

This statue will lead you to another statue, which will lead you to another, and so on. Just keep following the direction their swords are pointing in.

How To Get Underground

You will find a rib cage of bones after following the last sword. There is an enemy on the walls here, so keep your eyes and ears open for it. Head to the middle of the stone floor, and you will see cracks. You can use a bomb flower here, or a weapon with a large rock fused to the end of it, to break this cracked surface.

It is recommended that you first take out the enemy, as it will keep attacking you while you are in the area. Once the enemy is defeated, break the floor and head on down. You will be met with a new Discovery prompt for the West Gerudo Underground Ruins.

Follow the tunnel you are in to the very end, and you will find a large room where all the walls are cracked. This can greatly put a strain on your supply of bomb flowers, but if you know where to start excavating, it can save you a ton of resources and time. As you make your way into this room, turn and look to your left or right. Whichever side you look to, you will see another statue pointing its sword. It is not pointing in the direction you need to start excavating.

Instead, walk forward, then down the few steps, and turn to the right. You will see some similar small steps. Straight ahead of these steps is where you need to start blasting or hammering away. You will come to some raised stones. Keep hammering or blasting the cracked rocks on this raised level of stone to uncover a statue with a pointing sword. Just like the start of the quest, follow the direction of the pointed swords until you reach a large gate. Start blasting or hammering away at the rocks to the right of the gate.

Acquire Vah Naboris Divine Helm

Keep to the wall for this part and once you clear the corner of this wall, you will come to an open corridor without any rocks to excavate through. On the right side of you will be a statue pointing its sword in the direction you need to head. There will be one last patch of cracked walls here; just hammer or blast your through it to reveal a room. Head straight into this room and onto the raised platform; on the right side of this platform will be a chest. Opening this chest will reward you with the Vah Naboris Divine Helm, one of several Devine Helms in the game.
