The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will give you plenty of allies to meet and form bonds with, one such ally is Tulin. Tulin is one of the best summons you can have in the game and can make breaking puzzles far too simple, but that is one of the charms of Tears of the Kingdom; it gives you the freedom to explore and experiment with all the games tools and just have a really enjoyable experience.
Tulin will serve as the quest giver for this Treasure Of The Secret Springs side quest, so you will need to go speak with him. It is worth noting that you will have had to already completed the Wind Temple before you are able to get this quest.
How To Start Treasure Of The Secret Springs
You will first need to head on over to Rito Village. Here you will find Tulin who will have a riddle for you.
The riddle reads as follows: “Sturnida, Goflam's, and Sherlin's hidden treasure sleeps in the center of the three secret hot springs in the mountains. Guide the three waters to that place. When it fills, the slumbering treasure will awaken once more.”
Where Is The Center Of The Three Hot Springs
Open your map and look north of Rito Village. On your map, it may not be obvious which marks are the hot springs mentioned, and some players may struggle to locate them. You will need to go to the center between these hot springs, but if you are having trouble, it is to the South West of the “Biron Snowshelf” text. An image will be provided to make this easier for you.
You can make the trek on foot, which is always an option, but you would be denying yourself the opportunity to make use of the game’s fusion mechanics to make some sort of vehicle that will be much faster and easier on yourself. Playing around with the game’s fusion mechanics can be a very fulfilling experience, and it is highly recommended you stop from time to time to just be creative with your tools.
If you want to clear this side quest as fast as possible, then you can fast travel on over to Rospro Pass Skyview Tower, and you will be able to glide to your destination with ease. While gliding, you will notice a giant block of ice where the map marker is. You can use fire to melt down this ice to reveal the entrance to a cave.
How To Solve The Water Puzzle
Once the ice blocking the entrance is no more, make your way through the cave passage. You can pick up the bomb flowers along the way, but if you already have a large rock fused to a sword, you’re all set. At the end of the path, you will come to some cracked rocks. You can use one of the bomb flowers to blast open a path, or use your rock-fused sword to hammer away at them. Drop down the tunnel behind the cracked rocks and periodically deploy your glider to see the floor. On the floor will be a grate with wind gusting out.
Check the surrounding water for a chest that will have some arrows. Stand over this grate and deploy your glider to ride it to the top. Turn your camera horizontally, and you will see more cracked rock walls around you. Fuse a bomb flower to an arrow and fire it to blast away at where these cracked rocks are. Doing so will cause water to start pouring in.
Acquire Vah Medoh Divine Helm
Once you have 3 streams of water flowing down to the room below, one of the statues will slide to the side, and you will hear some music play for solving this puzzle. Head past this statue to the room it revealed and start swimming straight on ahead. You will come to a piece of land in the water that you can get on. Follow this new path to the end of the cave, and you will come to a chest. Inside the chest will be the Vah Medoh Divine Helm.
What Does The Vah Medoh Divine Helm Do?
Vah Medoh Divine Helm is a piece of unique Armor in the game, and is one of several Divine Helms. This item will give you some cold resistance and increase the attack power of Tulin.
The description of the item reads as follows: “A helm worn by a warrior who protected the Rito in a time beyond memory. It's said to deepen the bond with the Rito when worn by a Hylian”.
