Locate Skull Lake Chasm

Chasm map 1

The sword is located deep inside a chasm in the northeast of Hyrule. You need to head to the Akkala region to find Skull Lake first. This lake is located next to Kamatukis Shrine. So, if you have already discovered the shrine, you have a great shortcut to the chasm.

In the middle of the lake, there is a long pillar-like cliff. If you look down inside the lake, you can spot a red hole. Use your Glide to jump inside the hole, which will lead you to the depth of a scary well.

As soon as you land, equip a Brightbloom Seed, drop it, and smash it to lighten the area. You need to do it quite fast before the minion skeletons start attacking. You should kill all the minion skeletons to wake up the boss. Keep in mind that any heart you lose inside this chasm cannot be healed. Patience is the key to winning this battle. It might take over 10 minutes to defeat the boss with wise and safe attacks.

Minions

Defeat Stalnox

Stalnox 1

Stalnox is a giant skeleton that will wake up once minions are dead. The period that it is trying to stand up is one of your best chances to hit the boss as many times as you can. Although its health bar will not appear yet, your hits will apply damage. As soon as it is up, make sure to keep your distance, as Stalnox can jump over you, eating out three hearts at once.

In the first phase, Stalnox will start to pull out its bones one after another and throw them at you. However, if you stand so close to its feet, the boss can still perform a jump.

Stalnox 2

The golden time to attack Stalnox in the first phase is the exact moment that it grabs a bone on its body to pull it out. Once you spot this happening, you have enough time to run toward its feet, hit them two times, and run back. You are highly suggested to fuse your weapon with the bones dropped by minions. The larger minions will drop Moblin Arm, which is a 28-rated weapon. Fusing it with another powerful weapon gives you a sheer amount of power to defeat the boss.

Mobolin Arm

Stalnox will continue to throw its bones at you until it pulls out its left hand. After that, the second phase will begin. This time around, Stalnox will have two mildly different attacks. Once you stand next to it, it will raise its hand and its head to smash you, which is when you need to run away to avoid the damage. If it only smashes its hand to the ground, you will not have enough time to return and hit it. However, if Stalnox smashes both its hand and its head, you will have enough time for one or two hits.

In this phase, your hits to Stalnox's head may sometime cause its eye to drop out of its head. When it happens, you should strictly focus on hitting the eye. If you are lucky, you can land two or three attacks on the eye, before it moves back to the head.

Stalnox 6

Once the eye moves to the head, you can start hitting the boss's feet at least two times before it stands up. Keep in mind that the eye will have a separate health bar compared to Stalnox, but you do need to kill the eye to finish the battle.

So, when Stalnox's health bar reaches almost zero, your hits will not affect it anymore. All you need to do is to cause the eye to drop off and destroy it. One of the easiest ways to pull out the eye is to shoot an arrow fused by Bomb Flower.

When you fully beat the eye, the boss will fade away and the chest in the area will be unlocked, giving you access to Biggoron's Sword.
