How To Start Legacy Of The Rito Side Quest
Find Teba near the highest platforms within Rito Village. Engage in conversation with Teba to begin the "Legacy of the Rito" side quest. This quest entails the collection of specific materials necessary for crafting the Great Eagle Bow.
Required Materials To Craft The Bow
- 1 Swallow Bow
- 5 bundles of Wood
- 3 diamonds
How To Get Swallow Bow & Wood
To obtain the Swallow Bow, venture towards the hut located near the Flight Range, which can be found to the west of the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Upon your arrival, you can find the Swallow Bow leaning against the wall right beside Kaneli. Initiate a conversation with Kaneli and claim the Swallow Bow.
Next, collect 5 Bundles of Wood by chopping down trees in the surrounding area.
How To Get Diamonds
While wood can be easily procured throughout the vast expanse of the game world, the same cannot be said for obtaining diamonds.There are several ways to find diamonds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, however.
Guaranteed Diamond Rewards
- Hyrule Castle: By gliding north from Lookout Landing Skyview Tower, you can land on the balcony overlooking the outer gate. Opening the metal grate will reveal the precious diamond.
- Goron City: Another method of acquiring diamonds is by completing the main quest in Goron City, which will grant you access to Gonguron's diamond-selling service. Gonguron offers 3 diamonds for sale every day, albeit at a price of 1000 Rupees per diamond.
- Jinodok Shrine: Another notable location is Jinodok Shrine, which can be accessed via the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. Utilizing floating platforms or fans, you can reach the shrine and retrieve the Diamond.

- Stone Talus Bosses: Defeating Stone Talus bosses throughout the game also presents an opportunity to obtain diamonds. These formidable bosses can be found in various locations, so keep a vigilant eye out for them.
Crafting The Great Eagle Bow
Once you have gathered all the required materials, return to Teba, who will craft the Great Eagle Bow for you. This exceptional bow features remarkable attributes. It boasts a tri-shot capability, delivering a substantial 28 damage per projectile. With its swift draw speed, it allows for quick and efficient shooting, ensuring precise arrow placement. Notably, it can endure approximately 65 shots before breaking.
While the Great Eagle Bow undoubtedly stands as a formidable weapon, there are alternative options that may prove easier to obtain, such as the Savage Lynel Bow. If you still possess diamonds, it is advisable to prioritize the crafting of the Scimitar of the Seven or the Lightscale Trident.
Should the Great Eagle Bow near the breaking point, it can be repaired using a simple trick involving Rock Octoroks near Death Mountain. Locate around 20 Rock Octoroks near Death Mountain and mark their locations on your map.
Repairing The Great Eagle Bow
To repair the Great Eagle Bow, you will need to find Rock Octoroks, who will suck in the bow, repair it, and spit out. However, since the Great Eagle Bow is a legendary weapon, the octorok will spit it our without repairing it. To outsmart the Rock Octorok, a clever trick comes into play. You need to fuse the Eagle Bow with a non-legendary weapon or shield, like the Sturdy Stick. Combine the Eagle Bow with the non-legendary item and place the fused weapon before the Octorok. The Octorok will then proceed to repair and upgrade the non-legendary weapon, consequently restoring the fused weapon (the Eagle Bow) as well. It is important to note that no additional upgrades will be bestowed upon the Eagle Bow during this process.
Remember, each Octorok can only repair one item per blood moon. Therefore, if multiple repairs are necessary, you will have to visit different Octoroks.
Don't unfuse the weapon yourself, or you might destroy the very weapon you intend to fix up.
Once the fused weapon, now repaired, is in your possession, take it to the Break-A-Part shop in Tarrey Town. Pay a modest fee of 20 Rupees to safely separate the Eagle Bow from the fused item, reclaiming the fully restored Great Eagle Bow in its original form.
