Quick Links
There are a lot of strong enemies in Tears Of The Kingdom. Bosses like the Hinox and Stalnox can deal massive damage, and that's not counting the random Bokoblins that somehow manage to one-shot you and will do so again after the blood moon brings them back. What you'll need is an armor set that lets you hit back just as hard.
The Barbarian Armor set will increase Link's attack power, perfect for making short work of bosses and becoming something the Bokoblins learn to fear.
Updated By Wyatt Grondin On June 13th, 2023: A breakdown of how to upgrade this armor set, as well as the bonus earned after upgrading it twice, has now been added for a more concrete guide to the Barbarian Armor.
Where To Find The Barbarian Armor
The first piece of this armor set will be in a cave in Crenel Hills, with the exact coordinates being -3042, 0581, 0163. There will usually be a Wizzrobe just outside this cave, so take care of them if you need to before proceeding. Be sure to bring a good couple of bows and at least one fresh weapon that does a lot of damage before heading into the cave. That's because there's a Stone Talus making its home inside the cave.
If you're not familiar with this boss type, the Stone Talus is a giant made of rocks whose main body is completely immune to whatever attacks you try on it. The only weak point is the ore deposit on its head. If you can get a good shot, an arrow to this deposit will be enough to stun the Talus and cause it to lean over. While it's stunned, you can climb up it and start attacking the ore deposit directly. This may take a while if you don't have a good weapon for damaging ore, like a claymore. Once you manage to slay this beast, remember that it drops a large rock called its heart that you can fuse with a weapon for a massive damage increase.
Now that you're uninterrupted walk over to this glowing wall of ore in the ceiling and destroy it to make the path open.
The Barbarian Armor belonged to Misko the Bandit, who kept it in this treasure chest. It's now yours to wear at your leisure.
Barbarian Helm
If you encounter Meeshy again after finishing Misko's Treasure, she will start roughly pointing you in the direction of more pieces of the armor sets. This time, you don't get an X on your map, so just listen to her closely. She'll says that the Barbarian Helm is in a cave near Fort Hateno, marked with stone statues.
She's referring to Robred Dropoff Cave at coordinates 2488, -1467, 0013. Enter this cave to start the puzzle.
Upon entering, you'll get a plaque telling you there's treasure inside and that you have to follow the statues. These statues are the first, and they will be looking at you as you enter, but also just to the side. Link is positioned behind to, for the best coverage, go down the cave on the left in the image, the one on the right was where Link entered from.
Next, you'll find a room with stone statues in a circle.
Stand in the center to find the statues facing one of the breakable rock walls instead of facing inside the circle. Break that rock wall with a durable hammer or a Bombflower.
Ignore the statues for a moment as now you'll have to face off against Blue Bokoblins, including a Boss. Kill them and then break the rocks in the center to fall down.
This will lead you to the final challenge. Pick the correct slab to stand on and use Ascend. The incorrect ones will lead you to a Bubbulfrog, so you'll have to turn around with or without the Bubbul Gem; there's a way back down to the Bokoblin room.
The correct path is the one on the right with three stone statues.
Open the chest in front of you to earn the Barbarian Helm.
Barbarian Leg Wraps
The leggings will be found in Walnot Mountain Cave at coordinates 3926, -2060, 0129. As expected, with the Barbarian armor set, you'll be facing off against incredibly strong enemies here.
At the start of the cave, there are three black Horriblins and one blue Horriblin. Horriblins are annoying as they are strong even in their base form, so keep in mind this cave is throwing multiple of the most powerful form at you as a warm-up. And no, there isn't a convenient pond where you can attempt to drown the Horriblins; you will have to take them on directly and survive the fights. Horriblins are easily stunned for several seconds with a headshot, and spear weapons are great for getting multiple hits in while this happens.
Once you kill the Horriblins, do not move down to the lower level; stay on the upper half. This is to help prevent confusion about where to go, as the Leg Wraps aren't at the end of the cave but in an alcove. At the back half of the cave, the weather will drop to freezing, so that is a good way to tell if you've gone too far. There is also a black Boss Bokoblin and three black Bokoblins following them, which will also be a sign you've walked too far.
This is the alcove, and it's far easier to spot up here. Especially because it's guarded. While not pictured, there is an Ice-Like just in front of this treasure. The Ice-Like is the ice version of the Like-Like and goes down the same way the other elemental Like-Likes do. Wait out its slow yet powerful ice breathes, then once it shows the orb in its mouth, smack it hard and fast to kill it. Don't forget to pocket its loot before opening the chest.
The treasure chest will be frozen solid. Don't waste an arrow on this; either equip a flame-based weapon or hold a throwable that melts ice. For the throwables, Fire Fruit and Red Chuchu Jelly both work, so pick whichever you have more of, as you'll likely need to throw two of them.
This will allow you to open the chest containing the Leg Wraps.
Full Benefits
Wearing this full set will give you the max boost for attack power. If you don't want Link to always wear it, remember it before a hard boss. This effectively replaces the need to ever cook meals with the attack boost benefit.

Stamina Charge Attack Up
Once all 3 pieces of armor have been upgraded at least twice, you'll unlock the bonus ability that gives you more stamina from a charged attack. This is especially useful for two-handed weapons.
