Quick Links
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a ton of different easter eggs and references to the older games. From Lon Lon Ranch milk to Link humming Saria's Song from Ocarina of Time, the developers put a lot of thought into how to reference these past titles.
One reference the developers left was the Armor of Twilight set that Link can find in The Depths. This set is also available from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Amiibo. The set is a perfect reference to the Twilight Princess game.
Updated by Erin Rice on June 30, 2023: This update provides an upgrade table detailing the materials required and defense levels gained for each upgrade level at Great Fairy Fountains. It also added some relevant links for players wanting to know more information about certain aspects of the guide.
The Armor Of Twilight Set
The Armor of Twilight set gives a base defense of 9 altogether. Each individual piece offers Link 3 base defense. This can be enhanced at the Great Fairy Fountains; however, it will cost you some Star Fragments. Once the full set is enhanced to level two, you will get an Attack Boost. The set cannot be dyed at the Hateno Village Dye Shop, and it offers nothing in the way of a full set bonus.

The Cap Of Twilight Location
The Cap of Twilight is the hardest piece of the set to get. It is inside the Gleeok Den within The Depths, and it is a difficult fight. This Gleeok Den can be found directly below Thyphlo Ruins. The important thing to remember about this fight is that you need to take out each Gleeok Head before you can attack the Gleeok itself. Using arrows fused with Monster eyes will help a ton in hitting these Gleeok Heads. The closest chasm is the Drenan Highlands Chasm. The closest Lightroot is the Katenim Lightroot, which corresponds with the Minetak Shrine.
You must defeat a King Gleeok in order to obtain this piece. It is inside the chest that it is guarding. There is no way inside without killing the beast first.
Once you have finally bested the King Gleeok, you can open the chest containing the Cap of Twilight.
Tunic Of Twilight Location
The Tunic of Twilight is located within Rist Mine. This is directly below the Rist Peninsula. The way inside the mine is full of enemies, so make sure you are prepared. The closest Lightroot is the Kimimeg Lightroot, which corresponds with the Gemimik Shrine. The closest chasm is the East Akkala Plains Chasm.
After reaching the mine, the Tunic of Twilight can be found in a chest at the very end of the mine.
The Trousers Of Twilight Location
The final piece of the set is found within the Ancient Underground Fortress. This is located beneath the Akkala Citadel Ruins. The closest Lightroot is the Niuzimod Lightroot, which corresponds with the Domizuin Shrine. The closest chasm is the South Akkala Plains Chasm.
The Ancient Underground Fortress is full of enemies. Make sure you are alert as you venture down. You do not have to kill any to obtain the chest.
The Trousers of Twilight can be found in a chest among the ruins at the bottom of the fortress.
