To begin your journey towards obtaining the Majora's Mask, you will delve into the Depths, find the Floating Coliseum, and challenge the Lynels before claiming your prize. However, navigating the treacherous Depths can pose a challenge. This guide will assist you in reaching the Floating Coliseum and provide an efficient strategy to defeat the Lynels.

How To Reach The Floating Coliseum

To get to the Floating Coliseum, begin by gliding south from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower to the Great Plateau North Chasm. As you descend into the Depths, locate and activate the nearby Lightroot, making the exploration of the Depths manageable. Before proceeding towards the Floating Coliseum, refer to the image below to pin the location on your map for easier navigation.

Head toward the pinned location and scale the nearby stone arch. Once you reach the top, glide to the norther wall and scale to reach the top. Nearby enemies will start charging at you, but you can safely avoid them if you're quick. You may also want to use Brightbloom Seeds to illuminate the path ahead.

You can reach the Floating Coliseum either on a flying machine or on foot. If you prefer to reach this area on foot, reach the pinned location and from there continue north along the ridge. When the terrain and water meet, swim across the water to reach the entrance of the Floating Coliseum.

Defeating The Lynels

To obtain Majora's Mask, you must defeat a total of 5 Lynels, some of the toughest enemies in the game. Each Lynel progressively becomes more difficult, so be prepared for a tough battle. While there are various methods to defeat Lynels, an efficient approach involves using arrows fused with Ancient Blades.

Keep in mind that Ancient Blade arrows will disintegrate upon use without dropping anything. On the other hand, defeating Lynels rewards you with some of the best items in the game, and it is worth using Ancient Blade arrows on them. An effective strategy for defeating Lynels is to aim for their heads and shoot them to stun them temporarily. Once a Lynel is stunned, you can mount it and inflict significant damage.

Obtaining Majora's Mask

Upon defeating all five Lynels, you can unlock the chest located at center of the Floating Coliseum and claim the Majora's Mask. Donning the Majora's Mask grants you the ability to disguise yourself around humanoid enemies. It is important to note, however, that the mask does not provide protection if you provoke these enemies. Majora's Mask is an incredible item that adds a layer of psuedo-stealth to the game and grants Link more freedom when traversing areas guarded by humanoid enemies.
