One of the coolest things about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is that you can customize Link even more than you could during the game's prequel, Breath of the Wild. The Dye Shop is one of the most interesting things about both games. In Tears of the Kingdom, you're able to use the Dye Shop for more than just dying armor.
For the first time in the series, you are able to customize the Paraglider that Link uses throughout the game to get around. As of now, there are 38 different fabrics that can be used on your Paraglider. With this many fabrics, it can be extremely hard trying to figure out how to find each one. This list will break down where to find them.
Updated by Erin Rice on July 6, 2023: As players have more time to play Tears of the Kingdom, new secrets and quests have been discovered. This update added information regarding the two secret paraglider fabrics. It also added new images and in-text links.
Side Quests
There are certain side quests throughout the game that will reward you with Paraglider fabrics. There are 20 of these fabrics in total.
Addison's Fabric
Addison's Fabric can be obtained by helping Addison keep up all the Hudon Signs around Hyrule.
Cece Fabric
The Cece Fabric can be given to Link once he makes it to Hateno Village. Upon entering the village, head to the Dye Shop, where you will find Sayge. Speaking to him will unlock this Cece-inspired fabric. You'll notice quickly that the entire town is obsessed with Cece's designs. This fabric makes you fit right in!
Chuchu Fabric
This fabric is only unlocked after completing the quest "Photographing a Chuchu." Sayge will ask you to take a picture of a Chuchu so that he can create a Paraglider fabric out of the photo. He will then allow you to bring Reference Photos to him to create tons of exciting fabrics.
Goron Fabric
This can be obtained after finishing The Fire Temple. Once you're finished with it, you can find the Mine-Cart Land mini-games around the region. Finish the 3 mini-games to be given this Paraglider fabric.
Gerudo Fabric
After defeating The Lightning Temple, you can obtain this Paraglider fabric. Go to the Southern Oasis Training Area and speak to the NPC there. She will have you run in a race. Completing the race within 2 minutes and 30 seconds rewards you with this.
Horse-God Fabric
The Horse-God Fabric can be obtained by finding a wild horse and registering it at any stable. Thankfully, wild horses are found around many (if not all) stables around Hyrule. All you need to do is tame one and bring it back to the stable.
Hudson Construction Fabric
The Hudson Construction Fabric cannot be obtained until you have purchased your own house in Tarrey Town. You can unlock the ability to purchase a home by completing the quest "Mattison's Independence," given to you by the Hudson family in Tarrey Town. Their house is directly beside the railcar that goes to the construction site.
Koltin's Fabric
This is given to Link after finding all Bubbul Gems in the game and giving them to Koltin.
Korok Fabric
In order to obtain this fabric, you must first cleanse the Great Deku Tree of the Gloom that is destroying it. Once you have finished that, walk inside the middle of the tree and Ascend. You will enter a "secret room" and meet a Korok wanting some plants to use as decorations. Bring him those plants, and he will give you this in return.
Lurelin Village Fabric
This Paraglider fabric is given to Link after saving Lurelin Village. Once you complete the Ruffian-Infested Village quest, you can meet an NPC named Ralera who asks for Mighty Seafood Curry. She will then give Link this fabric.
Monster-Control-Crew Fabric
Throughout the game, you will find 6 quests asking you to bring peace to the area you're in. Once you complete all 6, you will obtain this fabric. These places are Hyrule Field, Akkala, Hebra, Eldin, Faron, and Necluda.
Nostalgic Fabric
The Nostalgic Fabric isn't necessarily a quest. All you need to do is return to the Temple of Time on the Great Plateau (the one on the surface, not in the sky) and go to the roof. Once there, enter the room where you first met the king during Breath of the Wild. There will be a chest containing this fabric.
Ordinary Fabric
The Ordinary Fabric is just the fabric that comes with the Paraglider. You will obtain it after completing the quest that awards you your own Paraglider.
Robbie's Fabric
This is obtained after you complete the Hyrule Compendium for Robbie.
Royal Hyrulean Fabric
This can be found during the quest to visit the Hyrule Castle that remains on the ground. The western edge of this area has some breakable rocks. Once destroyed, you can enter behind them and find this fabric.
Sheikah Fabric
The Sheikah Fabric can be obtained in Kakariko Village. Visit the armor shop there and hear about how the owner's grandmother is sick. Work with the woman and her sister to cure the grandmother, and they will reward you with this. You will need to find some ingredients and cook her a meal to heal her. This quest is called "Gloom-Borne Illness."
Yiga Fabric
This final quest-related fabric has a long road to obtain. First, you will need to find all three pieces of the Yiga Armor set. Once you have that, you must find the main Yiga Hideout (the same place it was in during Breath of the Wild). Then you will need to wear the Yiga Armor into the hideout and participate in their training exercises.
Zonai Fabric
This fabric is given to Link by a Construct on top of the Temple of Time (the one on the Great Sky Islands). Link will be tasked with lighting fires around the island without landing. Once completed, you will obtain this fabric.
Zonai Survey Team Fabric
After completing the quest "Messages From An Ancient Era," Link will be rewarded with this fabric.
Zora Fabric
After completing The Water Temple, Link will meet an NPC near East Reservoir Lake. He will ask Link to obtain the "Blue Stone" from inside a nearby cave. After returning the stone, he rewards Link with this fabric.
Unfortunately, there is no Rito Fabric like there is for the Zora, Goron, and Gerudo. This is due to the fact that the Original Fabric and Nostalgic Fabric already have the Rito symbol on them. The Paragliders were originally made by the Rito for Hylians to travel around the sky and therefore had this design already.
Reference Pictures
As mentioned above in the Chuchu Fabric section, Sayge from the Dye Shop in Hateno Village will ask Link to take photos of certain animals and Monsters that roam Hyrule. He says that he needs inspiration to create new fabrics and thinks Link is the right man for the job. After taking a photo of one of these, you can show the photo to Sayge, and he will create a fabric for you. There are a total of 8 fabrics obtained this way.
