Mighty Thistle is one of the many resources available in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This item is a returning one from Tears of the Kingdom’s previous entry in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There are several places where you are able to find this item in the wild while making your way through the game and one of its many quests.

If you don’t feel like farming this plant in the wild, you can always simply purchase it for the cost of 20 rupees. If you happen to have a surplus and wish to sell some, you will receive a compensation of 5 rupees per Mighty Thistle sold. Other uses for Mighty Thistle outside of recipes are to make Orange Dye and as part of the game's fusion mechanic. There is a total of 16 Mighty Thistles spawn spots, and there are 3 places to gather them.

As well as which place in the game would be the best for farming it. It did not however say much about what you can do with them once you have amassed a large amount of them. A table has been added to show players how they can be used in recipes.

Near Lakeside Stable

You will be able to find one sole solitary Mighty Thistle near the Lakeside Stable. This might seem not worth it, but when you are trying to get as many as you can, you make do with what you can get. Heading on over to Floria River will be another sole Mighty Thistle. This area has a total of 2 and no more.

Near Koto Pond

This location is nestled between Meda Mountains and Mount Taran. It is to the South East of Koto Pond. Here, you will be able to pick up some Mighty Thistle if you happen to be in the area, but it is not a lot. There are only a total of 3, making it not much better than the first entry.

Best Farming Spots

By far, one of the best farming spots for Mighty Thistle is over at Piper Ridge. You can find this location South of Nero Hill. Here, you will be able to bag 11 Mighty Thistle per visit, and they are all close to each other.

What To Use Mighty Thistle For

Mighty Thistle can be used in several recipes, each providing different benefits. When cooked, it can increase Link’s attack power. Here is a general guide of how you can work this resource into your cooking routine.

On Its Own

On their own, they can be made into Roasted Mighty Thistle. This will restore half a heart.

As A Recipe Ingredient

Using a mighty Thistle as a recipe component can give the end result the Mighty prefix, this will increase your attack. It will also extend the duration of the recipe's effects by a duration of 50 seconds.

Optimized Usage

For the maximum benefit of this item, cook a recipe that uses any one meat, any one mushroom, and a Mighty Thistle to receive a buff to your attack damage for 50 seconds. The more Mighty Thistles you add after that, the longest the duration of the attack buff. This can reach an effective duration of 4 minutes and 10 seconds.
