The more things change, the more they stay the same. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Tireless Frogs are just as important to farm out as they were in Breath of the Wild. Only this time, they’re even harder to find.

Tireless Frogs are rare encounters players can come across while adventuring across Hyrule. There are only a few locations on the map with confirmed Tireless Frog spawns and even then, you’ll only find one or two of them at each location.

Tireless Frogs thrive in moist, watery environments and caves are the perfect habitats in many cases. Many caves have a small stream running through them, these are natural frog habitats and you’ll often find them here. Although in most cases, what you’ll encounter will be Hot-Footed Frogs, Tireless Frogs are also present. Keep a lookout for shallow streams of water.

You’ll find a hole in the ground to enter the North Hyrule Plain Cave. Jump down and run down the cave. You’ll see shallow water everywhere with tons of frogs swimming about.

Sky Islands

The Sky Islands with Tireless Frogs are all fairly out of the way and you’ll need some things in order to reach all of them. You’ll need to obtain the Zora Armor and unlock the Travel Medallion. Zora Armor is needed to reach some islands by utilizing its swimming up waterfalls ability and the Travel Medallion is needed to give yourself a way to quickly reach an out-of-the-way Sky Island without having to make a long journey again.

Unlocking the Mount Lanayru, Rabella Wetlands, and Gerudo Highalnds Skyview Tower will also be quite helpful.

  • Neclude Sky Waterfall Island: Use the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, turn northwest and climb the waterfall using the Zora Armor’s ability.
  • North Necluda Sky Waterfall Island: Climb on top of the Peak of Awakening and create a flying device like a hoverbike or a hot air balloon to reach the waterfall. Use Zora Armor to ride the water to the top. You can also wait for a falling rock to fall from the sky and use Recall on it.
  • South Lanayru Sky Archipelago: Use the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and orient yourself northeast. Use the ready-made Zonai flying vehicles to hop towards the higher islands in the east. The Tireless Frog Pond is on the island with the Mayanas Shrine.
  • Ganos Shrine Sky Island: On the Sky Island with the Ganos Shrine. Reaching this island is a bit of a time sink. You’ll first need to unlock the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, launch yourself from it and head northward. There will be floating platforms guarded by constructs with rockets lying around. Defeat the constructs and use the rockets to move the floating platforms higher. Then, launch yourself northward again. Do this a couple of times and you’ll reach Ganos Shrine Island.
  • North Tabantha Sky Archipelago: From Ganos Island, head north to reach the Lightcast Island, and then jump northward again to reach the North Tabantha Sky Island. The Tireless Frog Pond is on the right most island.

Tireless Frogs are best used to make an enduring elixir. Enduring Elixirs are the best stamina recovery elixirs in the game. Not only do they restore Link’s stamina wheels completely, they also give extra stamina wheels that remain with Link until used up.

You only need one Tireless Frog and one monster part to make an enduring elixir, but adding more will give you a larger amount of extra stamina. In general, it’s advised to only use one frog per elixir to get the maximum value out of them.
