Hot-Footed Frogs are back and better than ever in Tears of the Kingdom. Their purpose remains mostly the same as it was in Breath of the Wild, and with the Ascend ability in the mix, players will get even more use out of them as they will spend less time climbing.

Farming locations for Hot-Footed Frogs are fairly abundant across Hyrule, as these frogs are much more common than their tireless and sticky counterparts. However, don't be fooled by their frequent appearance. They're the fastest variants of frogs and are much harder to catch than it might appear.

How To Farm Hot-Footed Frogs

  1. Swim silently. Get yourself the Stealth Armor set from Kakariko Village to approach frogs silently. A Sneaky elixir or food will also do the trick.
  2. Swim faster. Hot-Footed Frogs are not the fastest, but if you're in the water, chasing after them can consume a ton of stamina. With the complete Zora Armor Set, you can increase your swim speed to make catching them easier.
  3. Kill with arrows. If the frogs keep running from you, keep in mind that you can always use an arrow to kill them silently from afar, making collecting them easier. However, spending arrows on Hot-Footed Frogs farming is rarely worth it.

How To Use Hot-Footed Frogs

Hot-Footed Frogs can be used as an ingredient to make a Hasty Elixir which can allow Link to increase his movement speed drastically for a limited duration. The recipe for this elixir is 1-4 Hot-Footed Frogs + 1 Monster Part. The more frogs you add, the longer the duration of the elixir.
