Unlike a lot of other bugs in Tears of the Kingdom, however, Bladed Rhino Beetles are much harder to find in the over world and only appear in certain areas. If you're still on the hunt for this evasive critter, use this guide to easily find it.

Updated by Christina Roffe on June 21, 2023: To make it easier to find all twelve Bladed Rhino Beetles, we have updated the map image to include the exact location of each beetle.

Where To Find Bladed Rhino Beetles

There are a couple spots on the map where you can find Bladed Rhino Beetles, but the easiest location is within Bronas Forest. This can be found south of West Necluda, in the southeastern area of Faron on the Hyrule map. In the image above, you'll find the exact location in the forest of 13 Bladed Rhino Beetles that we found. Sometimes, they seem to change location, however, so we can't guarantee that they'll always be in these locations.

When you arrive in the forest, you'll be able to find the Bladed Rhino Beetles on the sides of trees and on top of tree stumps. To make things easier for your search, make sure to take a picture of one of the Bladed Rhino Beetles that you find in the forest and then use the Sensor Plus to locate all the Bladed Rhino Beetles in the area. You should be able to come across at least thirteen in the forest, including other types like the Energetic Rhino Beetle. We have provided images of the location of each Bladed Rhino Beetle as we found them above, all in order from right to left based on the previous map image.

How To Catch Bladed Rhino Beetles

As we mentioned before, it'll be much easier to find Bladed Rhino Beetles within Bronas Forest if you have the Sensor Plus, which becomes available to you after you complete the Hateno Village Research Lab side adventure. Robbie will provide you with it upon completion, allowing you to track nearby items.

Along with this, you will want to approach Bladed Rhino Beetles stealthily, otherwise they could get away, and you'll lose your chance to grab the rare bug. To increase your stealth, cook a Stealth Elixir or obtain the Stealth Armor Set, available at Enchanted in Kakariko Village. Either way, this will allow you to sneak up on the Bladed Rhino Beetles without being spotted.

You will also want to make sure that you are catching the Bladed Rhino Beetles at nighttime and when it is not raining. Otherwise, they will not appear in the forest. You can change the time by sitting at a campfire and passing the time, allowing you to skip to night and reset the weather if you need to.
