Despite being one of the easiest monsters in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Keese Wings and Eyeballs are some of the best arrow fusion materials in the game. Keese Wings allow an arrow to fly much farther than a regular arrow, and Keese Eyeballs give arrows a homing function, allowing you to hit fast-moving targets easily.

Running out of fusion materials, particularly useful ones, is something players have to be on the lookout for constantly. Keese are elusive creatures and don’t congregate too often, so finding an efficient way to hunt them down can be an issue. But you can still use a few methods to farm Keese Wings and Eyeballs en masse.

Where To Farm Keese Swarms

Keese Swarms are hordes of keese that travel in groups of over 20 Keese and roam the overworld from night till the break of dawn. Keese Swarms can spawn anywhere on the map, but you'll find guaranteed success by visiting Eldin Canyon at night. Specifically, the open area around the YunoboCo HQ at the foot of Death Mountain..

How To Farm Keese Swarms In Eldin Canyon

  1. Teleport to Marakuguc Shrine (or the closest teleport point you have unlocked).
  2. Wait until night by creating a fire and resting by it.
  3. Look out into the plains to find Keese Swarms roaming the valley.
  4. Get close to a Keese Swarm with a Bomb Flower in your inventory.
  5. Draw an arrow and attach the Bomb Flower to it.
  6. Aim carefully and release at the swarm.
  7. The area of effect damage caused by the Bomb Flower will cause the entire horde to be killed, netting you about 10-15 Keese Wings and Eyeballs.

Bombing Keese Swarms At Cave Entrances

When you approach a cave in Tears of the Kingdom, there is a small chance that a Keese Swarm will spawn at the entrance just as you are near the entrance. These swarms don’t damage Link beyond giving him a scare. They’re quick and vanish in an instant. But, if you’re quicker, you can safely farm cave swarms for an astronomical amount of Keese Wings and Eyeballs.

The process is mostly the same as farming regular Keese Swarms, except you will have to be lightning fast. These swarms despawn as soon as they clear two feet of the entrance, so you only have a small window of time to farm them. Use Bomb Flowers.

A peculiarity about these swarms is that they’re not directly targetable by arrows, so any arrows or bomb flowers you throw directly at them will pass straight through. The trick is to aim a bomb flower at the wall of the entrance instead of at the Keese themselves. This way, the area of effect damage will take out every Keese in the swarm, giving you a lot of Keese Wings and Keese Eyeballs in one go.

Hunting Regular Keese

Most caves contain 2-3 Keese on average, which is not a very efficient method of farming Keese Wings and Eyeballs. But some caves house an inordinately large number of Keese for one reason or another. These caves serve as the best farming spots for Keese if you’re out of Bomb Flowers or if the RNG isn’t on your side and you can’t find a swarm.

Tobio’s Hollow Cave (1166, -2434, 0172) is one of the best locations to farm Keese Wings. The cave is located directly south of the Dueling Peaks, between two smaller hills that make up the mountain range. It is marked by two luminous stone ore deposits, making its entrance quite obvious if you’re near it.

Inside Tobio’s Hollow Cave, you’ll find a total of 15 Keese in groups of 5. The cave is very narrow and only has one path, meaning you don’t have to search for the Keese and only have to walk in a straight line to find all 15 Keese.

There are also a few other enemies along the way, but you can safely run past them if you’re only here for the Keese. This cave is also home to the Utojis Shrine puzzle, so after completing it, you can simply fast travel there and fight your way to the entrance for a quick stock-up.
