One of Nintendo's biggest launches, Tears of the Kingdom has surprised fans with its amount of new content and abilities. While Hyrule's latest title offers an arsenal of powerful choices, it's the offbeat and comical fusions that truly steal the show.

The number of possible creations may not be unlimited, but the scope of creativity exceeded expectations. From bomb-and-sword mashups to monster parts and weapon hybrids, the game's extensive customization options invite you to let your imagination run wild.

10 Bomb Barrel + Boomerang

While it may seem a good idea at first to add a bomb barrel into a boomerang, you soon realize that is not the case. The bomb will not detonate while hitting the enemy.

Instead, what is most likely to happen, the boomerang will return to Link and detonate in front of him. Depending on the number of hearts you have, that could mean a Game Over.

9 Combination Of Same Items

The first time you combine any two same items, you will get both a hilarious-looking creation, and a funny name as well. When you see Link carrying around these weapons, usually way bigger than him, you can not help but laugh.

When you read the description it will display names like Gloom Sword-Sword, or Hylian Shield-Shield. Do keep in mind, though, that combining two similar weapons may negate their original abilities.

8 Puffshroom + Any Weapon or Shield

The fusion of Puffshrooms with any weapons or shields is both hilarious and quite useful. If you have to deal with too many enemies simultaneously or an overpowered boss, you can throw a Puffshroom and run for your life.

The attack can also be used to confuse your enemies and attack in the dark. Combining the Puffshroom's effect with that of a Dazzlefruit will give Link more time to deal with any monster.

7 Meat + Any Melee Weapon

Fusing any food item with weapons and shields can make for some funny combinations. But, for some reason fusing a good sword with a piece of meat seems too hilarious not to try.

The best way to use meat, though, will always be to cook it and create some health-recovery food, so you can fight bosses worry-free.

6 Beehive + Any Melee Weapon

A weapon fusion that may be useless damage-wise makes for a hilarious combination to try out. By sticking a beehive at the end of any weapon will send you with every swing bees towards your enemies.

The swarm will surround and attack multiple targets at once, but the damage will be quite minimal. After trying the weapon fusion, you can then use the honey to make much-needed stamina recovery food.

5 Bomb Flower + Any Melee Weapon

The Bomb Flower works the same way as the Bomb Barrel. If you fuse it with any of your weapons, you'd think it would throw the bomb toward your targets.

Well, that does not happen. Instead, the bomb will detonate in front of you and most likely send Link to the Game Over screen.

4 Mushroom + Any Melee Weapon

You may find this combination in the wild while hunting down Bokoblins, but you can also easily make it yourself. Some of the first food items you will find lying around will most likely be apples or mushrooms.

You can try fusing sticks, or any melee weapons you want with random mushrooms. This fusion will give your weapons a bouncy effect, sending your enemies flying further than usual.

3 Sand Seal Toy + Any Melee Weapon or Shield

If you haven't visited Riju's bedroom in Gerudo town yet, you should make it your next destination. On top of the throne room, you can find the room of the Chief of the Gerudo and Sage of Lightning, Riju.

The young chief is obsessed with sand seals and hides a collection of toys in her room. You can fuse these plushies with your weapons and taunt your enemies.

2 Lizalfos Tail + Any Melee Weapon

Usually, you can get useful and powerful combinations by fusing monster parts with your equipment. For example, using Lizalfos' or Lynels' horns can give you some great damage-dealing weapons.

If you add a Lizalfos tail to any of your melee weapons, you will get a whip-spear-hybrid. The damage it deals is not as good as other monster parts, but it is funny and helps you keep a safe distance from targets.

1 President Hudson Sign + Shield

When Tears of Kingdom came out, one of the first towns players wanted to visit was that of Tarrey. That come as no surprise as Link helped Hudson build the town, as well as get married there to the love of his life.

When you visit Tarrey Town, you meet Hudson himself as well as his wife and daughter. Their business has grown huge and there are many cutouts of Hudson lying around. You can fuse them with your shield and have your friend always with you.
