The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduces some incredible new abilities that transform Hyrule into a sandbox in the truest sense of the word. The Fuse ability, in particular, is potentially game-breaking as it allows Link to fuse almost anything to his weapons. Melee Weapons can be fused with rocks, Shields with mushrooms, and Arrows with raw meat; your imagination is the limit.

Fused Arrows turn Link's long-distance damage-dealing into a way for players to find the most creative solution to a problem. And the ability to make these arrows is easy as pie. To fuse something to an arrow, press ZR to draw the bow, press UP on the D-Pad to bring up the list of possible fusions, and then scroll with the Right Stick to find the right material.

15 Arrow + Korok Frond

Korok Fronds can be found easily across Hyrule by cutting down trees. The most common use for a Korok Frond is to attach it to a melee weapon and swing it to push enemies back with a wave of wind.

But it is a little-known fact that you can also attach Korok Fronds to an arrow before firing it to do essentially the same thing: push enemies back. With this option, you don't have to sacrifice a valuable weapon slot for a subpar weapon that's only going to be of use in very specific situations.

14 Arrow + Raw Meat

Attaching raw meat to an arrow is not just a meme; it's actually useful in certain cases. Raw Meat Arrows can be fired in the center of a Bokoblin camp, and the smell of the meat will attract the monsters towards it.

This can be used as an effective tool to corral enemies together into a group so you can take them out more efficiently using AoE damage or a large swinging melee weapon like a Claymore.

13 Arrow + Elemental Fruits (Fire/Ice/Shock/Splash)

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Elemental Fruits (fire_ice_shock_splash) fused to an arrow

Applying elemental effects is one of the primary ways Link can do increased damage to enemies, and the Fire, Ice, Shock, and Splash fruits do just that. If combined with a Fire Fruit, an arrow will cause a small explosion at the point of impact, dealing mediocre fire damage, and the same goes for the Ice, Shock, and Splash Fruits.

Shock arrows are the most useful as they deal shock damage and cause the enemy to drop any weapon they're holding. Link can then sprint by and pick up the dropped weapon or finish off the weakened monster. Ice Fruits are also really useful as they freeze any enemy they hit, causing them to be taken out of the fight for a period of time.

12 Arrow + Chuchu Jelly

Chuchu Jellies provide an easy way to deal elemental damage to enemies without having to commit more expensive resources like a Topaz or a Sapphire. Although throwing a Chuchu Jelly is a perfectly viable method, arrows fused with Chuchu jellies prove a much deadlier combination.

Attach a Chuchu Jelly to an arrow before firing it, and you can deal damage to enemies much farther away than you would've been able to by just throwing it. White Chucu Jellies freeze, Yellow Chuchu Jellies shock, and Red Chuchu Jellies burn the enemies that they touch.

11 Arrow + Brightbloom Seed

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Brightbloom Seed fused to an arrow

Around ⅓ of your adventure will be spent exploring the Depths, hunting down the dwellers within, and seeking out deposits of Zonite to upgrade your battery charge. All of this requires you to navigate the underground. The only problem is that it's pitch black down there.

Luckily, you learn how to use Brightbloom Seeds right from the start. These seeds can be struck to create a dome of light around themselves. If attached to an arrow, a Brightbloom Seed will activate at the arrow's point of impact, lighting up the area the arrow lands in. This allows you to light up your path in the darkness well in advance. While Link can also throw the seeds to activate them, an arrow can fly much farther.

10 Arrow + Lizalfos Tails/Horns (Shock/Ice/Fire)

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Lizardfos Tails (shock_ice_fire) fused to an arrow

Lizalfos are one of the most common enemies you'll face in Tears of the Kingdom. As you progress through the game, some Lizalfos will be infused with one of the three elements: shock, ice, or fire. The monster parts dropped by these Lizalfos are also infused with these elements.

When attached to an arrow, the fire Lizalfos tail—for example—will convert the arrow into a small, portable explosive barrel that can be chucked at enemies from far away. The explosion radius is not very large, but it can still do some AoE damage. The same holds true for Shock and Ice tails and horns.

9 Arrow + Precious Stones (Opal/Topaz/Ruby/Sapphire)

Precious stones or ores are scattered in mines all across Hyrule, and explorers are sure to stumble upon them during their adventures. Although selling these stones is generally the most profitable option due to their high value, they can also be fused with arrows to inflict substantial damage.

Sapphires can cause a massive AoE Ice damage blast that freezes any enemies in the radius. Topaz stones deal electric damage, Opals deal water damage, and Rubies deal fire damage in an area of effect. Topaz and Sapphires are especially useful in certain scenarios, as they can cripple entire groups of enemies in one go.

8 Arrow + Time Bomb

Time Bombs are essentially delayed Bomb Barrels but in Zonai form. Attaching a Time Bomb-Fused arrow in the middle of a group of enemies attracts the enemies to the point of impact. You'll require a Time Bomb capsule for this fusion to function.

The Time Bomb will activate on impact, meaning it will explode just as the enemies are starting to gather around. While this may not be the most efficient use of a Time Bomb capsule, it can be extremely useful in the right circumstance.

7 Arrow + Rocket

A surprising fusion that many players are unaware of is attaching a Zonai rocket to an arrow before shooting it. A Rocket-fused arrow will fly much, much farther than a regular arrow and in a completely straight line, to boot. You'll need a rocket capsule for this fusion to work.

To hit enemies that are very far away, like in the Colgera boss fight, arrows that don't have any fall-off are extremely valuable. Even Monster Wing-fused arrows don't fly as far as rocket-fused ones.

6 Arrow + Keese Wings

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Keese Wing fused to an arrow

Keese Wings have gotten a boost in value in Tears of the Kingdom. If fused to an arrow, they fly farther and have a much lower drop-off rate than regular arrows. This can come in quite handy for hitting a monster on an elevated platform or from really far away.

Dropped from one of the easiest monsters in the game, Keese Wings are easy to obtain, and you'll have plenty of them in your inventory if you're taking your time exploring the region. Elemental Keese Wings—Electric, Ice, and Fire—fly farther and deal elemental damage. Also, remember that all wings (Aerocuda, Gibdo, Gleeok, etc.) have essentially the same functionality: having your arrow fly farther.

5 Arrow + Keese Eyeball

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Keese Eyeball fused to an arrow

As showcased in the trailer, Keese Eyeballs are incredibly useful tools to land arrows on enemies that are hard to hit. When fused with an arrow, the Keese Eyeball gives the arrow a homing function so that it turns mid-air to target the enemy you were aiming at. You can also use these eyeballs to ensure you're consistently landing headshots for increased damage.

Like Wings, Keese Eyeballs also come in elemental varieties dealing fire/ice/shock damage. An arrow fused with an Electric Keese Eyeball will retain the homing ability while still dealing electric damage. It's like having two fusions on one arrow. In Tears of the Kingdom, other monsters also have a chance of dropping monster parts with the word "eyeball" in them. These also have the same homing ability, but Eyeballs from rarer enemies are better used in recipes than being fused to a random arrow.

4 Arrow + Dazzle Fruit

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Dazzle Fruit fused to an arrow

The Dazzle Fruits is a completely new addition to Hyrule. When fused with an arrow, a Dazzle Fruits goes off like a flashbang at the point of impact, stunning any enemies caught in the dome of blinding light.

It's easy to see how useful this ability has the potential to be. It can stop a mob of monsters in their tracks, allowing Link some breathing room to think. They are also useful against large, lumbering enemies to deal some uncontested damage after they're stunned.

3 Arrow + Bomb Flower

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Bomb Flower fused to an arrow

Bomb Flowers can be fused to an arrow to convert it into a fully primed Explosive Barrel. This is useful for dealing AoE damage to a group of monsters in one go. And it can also be used to mine an entire Zonite Wall—underground clusters of Zonite—using only one arrow.

Bomb Flowers are materials you can gather while exploring in caves, and while they're not the most common, you can find enough of them that using one to mine a Zonite deposit doesn't feel like a waste.

2 Arrow + Puffshroom

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Puffshroom fused to an arrow

Puffshrooms are a type of Mushroom in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that releases a cloud of white gas that can blind enemies that stand in it. Puffshrooms can be attached to both shields and arrows.

When fused to an arrow, the Puffshroom will activate at the point of impact, creating a mushroom cloud of gas that persists for about 15 seconds before dissipating. You can chain multiple Puffshrooms in the same area to prolong the effect on the field.

1 Arrow + Muddle Bud

The Legend of Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom Muddle Bud fused to an arrow

Muddle Bud is an incredible tool to deal with hordes of enemies that are clustered together. An arrow fused with a Muddle Bud will create a small pink cloud that confuses any enemy that breathes it in. An enemy confused by this effect will start attacking anything around itself, even other monsters.

Fuse your Muddle Bud into your arrow, fire it at a group of enemies, and watch as they kill each other until all of them are dead. A well-placed Muddle Bud Arrow aimed at the strongest monster in the group can convert that monster into a killing machine that clears the camp for you.
