To avoid wasting your items and weapons, we will provide you with some of the best early-game item fusions that you'll be able to grab in the first sky island and the first few areas of Hyrule. Here are our recommendations.

10 Wooden Stick Combinations

One of the first weapons you'll come across in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is Wooden Sticks. These will be a decent upgrade from tree branches, and when you attach two Wooden Sticks together, you'll double the damage of the weapon.

Along with pairing two Wooden Sticks together, you can also attach some other items that you pick up early on in the game, including Soldier Construct Horns, Zonai Charges, and other weapons you'll find like Long Sticks.

9 Soldier Construct Horn

As we mentioned before, Soldier Construct Horns will be a frequent item you pick up at the beginning of the game when you first arrive in the sky. Soldier Constructs will be abundant up here, so make sure to pick up the items they drop as frequently as possible.

You can attach Soldier Construct Horns to Long Sticks, Wooden Sticks, Rusty Broadswords, and any other weapon you currently have your hands on. These horns will give you an added Fuse Attack Power of 3, making it one of the better options early in the game. If you're able to get Soldier Construct II Horns, these will be even better with an added Fuse Attack Power of 8.

8 Rusty Broadsword Combinations

As you get further through the story, you'll be able to pick up more swords even though they are a little worn down. Rusty Broadswords might not have a lot of power to them, but if you combine them with other weapons and items you'll see a large increase in their damage.

If you attach two Rusty Broadswords together, the damage from the weapon will double. You can also add a Bokoblin Horn, Soldier Construct Horn, Bokoblin Fang, or any other items you have in your bag. If you find some Soldier Broadswords as well, these will give an even better damage output of 6.

7 Bokoblin Arm

At night in the Hyrule fields, there will be skeletons that appear from the ground. All you need to do to defeat these undead Bokoblins is by hitting them once and then destroying their head in one hit. They'll drop their arms, which has an Attack Power of 20.

Though Bokoblin Arms break very easily, you can attach them to your weapons to increase their damage. You won't want them to be your base weapon, but they'll be incredibly beneficial as an attachment.

6 Bokoblin Horn

Along with Bokoblin Arms, Bokoblin Horns can be another fantastic attached item to your weapons. They can bring an additional Attack Fuse Power of 4, raising the damage of your early-game weapons by a decent amount.

You can easily come across some Bokoblins in Hyrule Field, closeby to Lookout Landing. They will usually be in groups, allowing you to pick up multiple horns and any other materials they might drop.

5 Rusty Claymore Combinations

Though Rusty Claymores are not going to last you for very long, they are much stronger than Rusty Broadswords. It's base Attack Power is 6, so if you were to find two of them and fuse them together, its attack will double to 12.

You can get this weapon from the In-isa Shrine found in the Great Sky Island. This is where you'll learn to use your Fuse ability, and then you can take your Rusty Broadsword and fuse it with another item to raise its damage. Even if it will only last for a few hits, it'll take out enemies easily.

4 Moblin Fang

Moblin Fangs are essentially an upgraded version of Bokoblin Fangs. Usually you can find Moblins at Bokoblin camps as the leader of the group. Their fangs will have a Fuse Attack Power of 4, doubling the amount from Bokoblin Fangs.

Though they might not be as common as Bokoblins, Moblins are worth tracking down for their dropped materials, including Moblin Horns. You'll be able to deal more impressive amounts of damage to your enemies, making it both Moblin Fangs and Horns a great item to have in your bag.

3 Flame Emitter

Flame Emitters are a Zonai Device that you can get early on in the game by finding them on islands, or receiving them from the Device Dispenser on the Great Sky Island. Attaching this to even just a Wooden Stick will make it into a formidable weapon, essentially evolving into a flamethrower.

The Flame Emitter will allow you to deal powerful blows to enemies as well as create damage over time as they catch on fire. As you get deeper into the game and find yourself picking up stronger weapons, the Flame Emitter will still be a great option for a fused item.

2 Amber

As you search through caves in Hyrule and the Great Sky Island, you'll find a slew of shining rocks that hold a wide variety of gems from Sapphires to Amber. While many of these you'll want to save for selling, Amber can make for a good item fusion.

Amber will give your weapon an added Fuse Attack Power of 4. Though it isn't the strongest thing you can pick up, it's a solid option for early-game weapons. It'll provide more than enough added damage to take down your enemies.

1 Horriblin Horn

You won't be able to find Horriblins out in the open; instead, you'll find them lurking on the ceilings of caves. You can easily knock them down from here with your bow, and pick up the materials that they drop.

Horriblin Horns in particular have a Fuse Attack Power of 5, making it a powerful item to attach to your weapon. Within Hyrule Field, you can find a few caves including Ranch Ruins Cave, Passeri Greenbelt Cave, Ancient Tree Stump Cave, and more.
