After putting a couple of hours into Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll quickly realize how many types of weapons you can find, and the seemingly endless possibilities that come with fusing your own. As you build your collection, you’ll quickly run out of inventory space for your weapons, bows, and shields.

Luckily, there is a fairly simple way to increase your inventory capacity. We’ll walk you through what you need to know to locate the character who will upgrade your inventory and the payment they’ll require to do so.

How To Upgrade Your Inventory

Hetsu Upgrades at lookout landing

In order to get more slots for your weapons, bows, and shields, you’ll first need to collect some Korok seeds. There are literally hundreds of them scattered throughout the game, each requiring you to solve a small puzzle or lift a conspicuously placed stone to find the Korok nearby.

After doing so, they’ll give you a Korok see that can be used as a currency when speaking with Hetsu. Each upgrade will initially cost one Korok seed, and then the price will continue to go up each time you add a slot to the three inventory types.

Where To Find Hetsu

Hetsu Initial Location

In order to spend those hard-earned Korok seeds, you’ll first need to find Hetsu. The first place you’ll find them is in the Hyrule Ridge area, west of Hyrule Castle. On the way up the mountain to the Lindors Brow Skyview Tower, you’ll find him near some enemy trees. After defeating them, head back to Hetsu and he’ll upgrade your inventory.

After upgrading your inventory twice, he’ll leave and mention he is heading someplace east from this location. Head back to the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower just outside the castle, and you’ll find him inside the encampment. Here, they’ll let you upgrade your inventory many times, so be sure to come back and visit them often as you find more Korok seeds.

Hetsu will move to the Lost Woods after you defeat Phantom Ganon below the Deku Tree
