There are over 150 Shrines within The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. With that many Shrines, it is nearly impossible to find all the Shrines that dot the land of Hyrule. If you want to find them all, you're going to need some help.

That's where the Shrine Sensor comes in. Returning from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Shrine Sensor is an add-on to your Purah Pad that allows you to look for Shrines. Whenever you are close to one, you will hear it beeping.

How To Obtain The Shrine Sensor

In order to obtain this useful item, you first need to obtain the quest "Hateno Village Research Lab" from Robbie. You can pick this up in Lookout Landing after rebuilding his hot air balloon. He will ask you to meet him at the Hateno Village Research Lab.

You can travel to Hateno Village and walk up the slope to make it to the research lab there.

He will tell you that he has everything he needs, he just needs your Purah Pad.

Once he adds the Shrine Sensor to your Purah Pad, he will tell you there is a Shrine nearby.

You have to use the Shrine Sensor to find it. You will notice that the Shrine Sensor is now showing where the temperature shows. You will hear it beeping when you are close to a Shrine. The louder and faster the sound beeps, the closer you are to the Shrine. You can also see where it has levels of closeness on the Shrine Sensor.

All you need to do is leave the lab and head toward the lake. You will find a cave on the side of the hill, nestled between the lab and Lake Sumac. This cave is the Retsam Forest Cave.

Once you find the entrance to this cave, head inside. You will see that you can either take a left turn or a right turn. Turn right here.

As soon as you turn right, you'll see the Shrine. This is the Mayahisik Shrine. Activate it and head back to the lab.

Robbie will congratulate you on your hard work and inform you that he has hung an instruction manual for the Shrine Sensor on the wall. You are able to return to this at any time if you need additional guidance on how to use the sensor. You can also get an upgrade for the Sensor if you complete another quest.
