A brand-new update is now live for Apex Legends across all supported platforms, which includes PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Today's update won't include any new content for players to jump into, but it is the first hotfix update since the launch of season 18 earlier this month. As such, fans can expect some important bug fixes, stability improvements, and much more.
Season 18: Resurrection debuted on August 8th, and although there wasn't a new Legend joining the Apex Games, existing Legend Revenant did receive a complete overhaul. Revenant now features a new set of abilities and a killer new look. To celebrate Revenant's rework, developer Respawn Entertainment has unlocked the character for all players for the entire season. There's also a special set of challenges for players to complete to unlock Revenant permanently.

ORIGINAL STORY: We're still currently waiting for Respawn Entertainment to release the full change log for today's Apex Legends update. As the patch has only just gone live across all platforms, full details are expected to be shared within the hour. Make sure to check back in shortly as we will be updating this article with the full patch notes as soon as they are shared.
In the meantime, the official Apex Legends Trello Board has hinted at what to expect from today's update. According to the Trello Board, the following bugs and glitches have a fix in-progress, meaning some could be released in today's patch:
- Unable to see remaining players' and teammates' damage/stats while spectating.
- Unable to reroll challenges.
- [Valkyrie] Blade Barrage unequipping when returning to lobby.
- [Revenant] Legend not unlocking after completing challenges until game is rebooted.
- Additional white pixels near stats on post-match player cards.
- Players often return to first available playlist after playing Mixtape match.
- [Arsenal] Predator Badges are missing numbers.
- Button prompts may not appear on summary/death screen, including report button - but buttons still work!
- Ranked progress bar missing from post-match summary.
- Ranked timer shows incorrect end date.
