However, in order to use these Skyview Towers, you will first need to complete a series of objectives that will either unlock or repair the towers.

The Gerudo Skyview Tower is one of the fifteen Skyview Towers in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Because of the difficult topography of the desert in the vicinity of this site, this particular Skyview Tower is one of the very last that you will come across. However, the task required to unlock this tower is an easy one compared to the other towers of Hyrule.

Finding The Tower

Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower Location

The Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower is located the Southwest of the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. The following coordinates, in XYZ order, will get you to the tower quickly and easily: -2418, -2191, and 0302. While heading southwest, you will come across the mountains of the Gerudo desert, and the tower is located just above this crest.

While coming to this location, you will encounter very cold weather. However, you will also encounter very hot weather upon entering the desert area. Both types of weather may have a negative impact on Link, thus it is imperative that you take the necessary measures before approaching this tower. Find or equip clothes that mitigate the harsh impact of these elements.

Unlocking The Tower

Upon reaching the base of the mountain in which the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower is located, you will notice a chain elevator. You will also find an NPC called Sawson standing under the elevator. Go near Sawson and interact with him. After talking with Sawson, he will tell you that he is facing problems going up through the elevator, for which he is also unable to fix the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

Now you need to make your way up to the base of the Skyview Tower so that you may fix Sawson's issue. On the left side of the tower, you will find some metal boxes lying around. Now activate Link’s Ultrahand ability, grab one of the metal boxes, and place it on the other boxes. Repeat the previous steps, and then stack another metal box on top of the boxes that were just used. Put a total of three of the metal boxes on top of each other in a stacked formation.

Now using the Ultrahand ability, drag the metal boxes and make your way over to the elevator. You will find one end of the elevator hanging on top near the edge. Attach the stack of metal boxes with the chain of the elevator. The boxes will act as the weight, and gradually they will start going downwards due to the weight, pulling Sawson upward on the other hand.

As Sawson comes up through the other end of the elevator, go near him again and talk to him. Sawson will now begin the process of repairing the towers, and in exchange for your assistance, you will get some tokens of appreciation from him. Going inside the tower and interacting with the Pedestal will allow you to use the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower as a fast travel point after the tower has been repaired.
